Abstract
Description
スリー・エム社(3M Company)よりFiltrete 1900の商品名で販売される高効率フィルタの空気濾材を使用して一連の空気品質インジケータを作製した。図6に示されるように、開放寸法3.75インチ×3.75インチの並列濾材試料を、厚紙の外周フレームに取り付けた。図6に参照符合で示されるように、第1の濾材80は高効率のFiltrete 1900材料としたのに対して、第2の濾材82は、フレーム内に取り付ける前にイソプロピルアルコールで飽和した後、乾燥して静電荷をすべて除去したFiltrete 1900材料とした。第1の濾材80(すなわちFiltrete 1900材料)には変化を加えなかった。
図8に示される2つの異なる種類の濾材を使用して一連の空気品質インジケータを作製した。第1の濾材100は、ミネソタ州セントポール所在のスリー・エム社(3M Company)よりFiltrete 1200の商品名で販売される静電荷が帯電された濾材とした。第2の濾材102は、イソプロピルアルコールで飽和することによって放電させた以外は同じFiltrete 1200濾材とした。第3の濾材104は、アールストローム社(Ahlstrom)よりモデルT817の商品名で販売される、帯電していないステープル繊維ウェブからなるものとした。濾材100〜104は、約2インチ×3インチのサイズとし、厚紙の外周フレームに取り付けた。
実施例2のインジケータと同じインジケータを作製し、中国の上海市の2つの場所で空気品質評価を行った。1)建物のスプリット型エアコンディショニングシステムにつながる空気吸入口に7日間。許容される微粒子測定装置を使用したところ、評価期間中の平均の微粒子濃度は34μg/m3であった。2)上記1)の建物内のHVAC屋内空気戻り口に7日間の評価期間。
Claims (7)
- 空気中の高微粒子濃度の指標を提供するための空気品質インジケータであって、
第1及び第2の窓を画定するフレームと、
前記第1の窓内に組み立てられた第1の空気濾材と、
前記第2の窓内に組み立てられた第2の空気濾材と、を備え、
前記第1の空気濾材が、前記第2の空気濾材の高微粒子濃度の空気流の存在下での視覚的外観の変化速度を超える高微粒子濃度の空気流の存在下での視覚的外観の変化速度を有するように構成されている、インジケータ。 - 前記第1の空気濾材がエレクトレット不織布ウェブを含み、前記第2の空気濾材が帯電されていない不織布ウェブを含む、請求項1に記載のインジケータ。
- 前記第1及び第2の空気濾材が、高微粒子濃度を有する空気流に曝露される前に実質的に同様の外観を有するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のインジケータ。
- 前記第1及び第2の空気濾材が実質的に同一のサイズ及び形状を有する、請求項1に記載のインジケータ。
- 前記フレームが、6インチ以下の長さ及び3インチ以下の幅を有する、請求項1に記載のインジケータ。
- 空気中の高微粒子濃度の指標を提供するための空気品質インジケータシステムであって、
請求項1に記載のインジケータと、
上流側及び下流側を規定する大粒子フィルタと、を備え、
前記インジケータが前記大粒子フィルタの前記下流側に取り付けられる、空気品質インジケータシステム。 - 空気中の高微粒子濃度の存在を示す方法であって、
インジケータを準備する工程であって、前記インジケータが、
第1及び第2の窓を画定するフレームと、
前記第1の窓内に組み立てられた第1の空気濾材と、
前記第2の窓内に組み立てられた第2の空気濾材と、を備え、
前記第1の空気濾材が、前記第2の空気濾材の高微粒子濃度の空気流の存在下での視覚的外観の変化速度を超える高微粒子濃度の空気流の存在下での視覚的外観の変化速度を有するように構成されている、工程と、
前記インジケータを能動空気流源の能動空気流表面に取り付ける工程と、
前記能動空気流源を動作させて、前記空気流を前記第1及び第2の空気濾材に通過させる工程と、
前記能動空気流源を動作させる前記工程の後に、前記第1の空気濾材の外観を前記第2の空気濾材の外観と視覚的に比較する工程と、を含む、方法。
