Claims (4)
- 電解質膜と、
前記電解質膜の一方の面にアノード電極触媒層が設けられ、供給される水を電気分解して酸素が発生されるアノード側と、
前記電解質膜の他方の面にカソード電極触媒層が設けられ、前記水の電気分解により水素が発生されるカソード側と、
を備える水電解装置であって、
前記アノード電極触媒層の端部と、前記カソード電極触媒層の端部とは、前記電解質膜の厚さ方向から見て、互いに異なる位置に配置されていることを特徴とする水電解装置。 - 請求項1記載の水電解装置であって、前記アノード電極触媒層の平面寸法は、前記カソード電極触媒層の平面寸法よりも大きく設定されていることを特徴とする水電解装置。
- 請求項1又は2記載の水電解装置であって、前記固体高分子電解質膜の膜厚は、60μm〜180μmの範囲内であるとともに、
前記アノード電極触媒層の端部と前記カソード電極触媒層の端部とは、前記厚さ方向から見て、面方向に1mm以上離間して配置されていることを特徴とする水電解装置。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の水電解装置であって、前記水電解装置は、前記水の電気分解により前記酸素と該酸素よりも高圧な前記水素を生成する高圧水電解セルを備えることを特徴とする水電解装置。
