Claims (2)
- 電解質膜の一方の面にアノード給電体が、前記電解質膜の他方の面にカソード給電体が、それぞれ設けられた電解質膜・電極構造体と、セパレータとが積層される単位セルを備え、複数の前記単位セルが積層されたセルユニットの積層方向両端には、端板が配設されるとともに、一方の端板と前記セルユニットとの間には、該セルユニット全体を積層方向に押圧する押圧機構が設けられており、水を電気分解してアノード側に酸素を、カソード側に前記酸素よりも高圧な水素を、それぞれ製造する差圧式高圧水電解装置であって、
前記押圧機構は、前記一方の端板に固定される第1耐食性部材と、
前記第1耐食性部材に対向して前記積層方向に進退可能に配置されるピストン機能を有する第2耐食性部材と、
前記第1耐食性部材又は前記第2耐食性部材に固定され、前記第1耐食性部材の外周部及び前記第2耐食性部材の外周部を一体に覆って前記カソード側に連通する流体導入室を形成する第3耐食性部材と、
前記第3耐食性部材の外周部に設けられ、前記流体導入室内の圧力を保持する耐圧部材と、
を備えることを特徴とする差圧式高圧水電解装置。 - 請求項1記載の差圧式高圧水電解装置において、前記第1耐食性部材は、一方の端板と前記流体導入室とを連通する開口部を有するとともに、
前記第1耐食性部材は、前記開口部が設けられる領域の厚さが、他の領域の厚さよりも大きく構成されることを特徴とする差圧式高圧水電解装置。
