Abstract
Description
包するセルから構成された材料であるため、成形に使用するスチームの温度、圧
力、冷却水の温度、成形機の個体差、外気温、原料ビーズの発泡倍率の僅かなバ
ラツキ等、非常に多くの因子により寸法のバラツキを生じる。例えば発泡ポリプ
ロピレンビーズ成形体の場合、一般に製品寸法に対し±0.7~1.2%程度の
寸法バラツキを生じる。そのバラツキは例えば合成樹脂発泡体部品の長さ1,0
00mmである場合±10mm前後に相当するため、長尺を有する合成樹脂型内
発泡体部品の場合、金型上にフレーム等の剛性体が隙間なく嵌め込まれる溝を設
計しても、実際には正確な位置、寸法に成形することは事実上不可能である。ま
た合成樹脂発泡体は軟質ではあるが、一定の剛性も有するため±10mmもの寸
法バラツキがあれば作業者によってフレーム等の剛性体を溝に隙間なく嵌め込む
ことも不可能である。本発明の合成樹脂発泡体からなる長尺部品1は、寸法精度
がバラツキやすい性質を折り込みながら寸法精度を確保できる構造を提供するも
のである。
や内側に隣接する合成樹脂発泡体の部分、すなわち規制具側嵌合部22を隙間なく嵌め込む溝周囲には十分な剛性がなければならない。すなわち低温及び高温下で合成樹脂発泡体が伸縮しようとする際、嵌め込まれた規制具側嵌合部22による拘束力を受け止める部分であるからである。前記溝周囲に十分な剛性がなければ合成樹脂発泡体が伸縮する際、変形し寸法規制具3が脱落する、破損する、あるいは変形し合成樹脂発泡体の伸縮を抑制する効果に欠ける。合成樹脂発泡体からなる長尺部品1の具体的形状、物性、寸法規制具3の形状や位置にも左右されるが、少なくとも8mm、好ましくは15mm以上の厚みが溝の長手方向の両側にあることが望ましい。

Claims (2)
- JIS K7221−2(2006)の曲げ試験における曲げ撓み量が20mm以上、かつ20mm撓み時の荷重が2〜100Nの合成樹脂発泡体からなる長手方向と短手方向を有する基材と、
前記基材の長手方向の両端部に形成した基材側嵌合部の内壁又は外壁に長手方向で隙間なく密着して嵌合させる規制具側嵌合部を有し、かつ前記規制具側嵌合部同士を長手方向の連結部材で連結させた、温度変化による寸法収縮が小さく剛性を有する材料からなる寸法規制具と、を備え、
前記基材は、前記基材の長手方向の両端側を構成する離隔状態の基材部分と、長手方向の任意の位置で前記離隔状態の両端側の基材部分を連結する単数又は複数の継手型構成部とにより構成され、
前記継手型構成部の継手部と前記両端側の基材部分とのそれぞれの連結部位の位置を短手方向又は厚み方向でずれた状態とし、又は、前記連結部位の位置を短手方向及び厚み方向で正対させている場合は前記継手部を屈曲形体とし、
前記継手部が長手方向に曲げ変形することによって前記基材の長手方向の全長寸法が安定することを特徴とする合成樹脂発泡体からなる長尺部品。 - 前記基材側嵌合部と前記規制具側嵌合部との嵌合形態が、第一の形態として前記基材の長手方向の両端部の基材側嵌合部である短手方向に形成された溝と、前記溝の内壁の長手方向の両壁面に隙間なく密着する前記規制具側嵌合部である略板状構造体との嵌合形態であり、第二の形態として前記基材の長手方向の両端部の基材側嵌合部である突起と、前記突起の外壁の長手方向の両面に隙間なく密着する前記規制具側嵌合部である凹部構造体との嵌合形態であり、又は、第三の形態として前記基材の長手方向の両端部の基材側嵌合部である穴と、前記穴の内壁の長手方向の両面に隙間なく密着する前記規制具側嵌合部である凸部構造体との嵌合形態からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の合成樹脂発泡体からなる長尺部品。
