Abstract
Description
即ち、前記フィルタ集合体41の上端に上部エンドキャップ46を接着する場合、図19aに示すように、上下逆向きにした上部エンドキャップ46の内部に粘性を有する接着剤49を一定の量(深さ)充填し、図19b及び19cに示すように、該接着剤49の中に前記フィルタ集合体41の上端部を下向きにして差し込んだあと、該接着剤49を硬化させるが、その際、該接着剤49は、前記濾過部材42,43やコア部材44,45等で押されることにより、図19bに矢印で示すように、上部エンドキャップ46の内部を内周方向や外周方向及び円周方向等に向けて流動すると共に、軸線L方向(深さ方向)にも次第に盛り上がりながら、蛇腹状に折曲された内側濾過部材42の各隙間内に進入し、外側濾過部材43の内部にも浸透する。空隙率の小さい内側濾過部材42の内部には殆ど浸透しない。
また、本発明において、前記中間壁の下端部は、前記フィルタ集合体の内側コア部材、内側濾過部材、外側コア部材、及び外側濾過部材のうち、少なくとも内側コア部材、内側濾過部材、及び外側コア部材の上端部より下方位置まで延出している。
更に、本発明において、前記内側濾過部材は蛇腹状に折曲されていることが望ましい。
前記内側濾過部材12は、蛇腹状に連なる折曲片12aで形成されているため、平坦なシート状の濾材を円筒状に丸めたものに比べ、濾過面積が大きい。
なお、前記接着剤5の一部は、空隙率の高い前記外側濾過部材14の内部には浸透するが、空隙率の低い前記内側濾過部材12の内部には殆ど浸透しない。
一方、前記外側濾過部材14の下端部は、前記内側濾過部材12の下端部より上方位置にあって、前記内側壁31の上端面及び前記連結壁34の上端面に当接するか、又は僅かな隙間を介して近接した状態に配設され、該外側濾過部材14の下端部外周は、前記外側壁32によって取り囲まれている。
また、図14に示す中間壁21Gは、直線状をした複数の壁部分21mが連なることによって多角形状に形成されている点が、前記図8の中間壁21Aと相違している。
なお、図10の中間壁21C、図11の中間壁21D、図13の中間壁21F、及び図14の中間壁21Gの断面形状は、図5の中間壁21の断面形状と同形状にすることもできる。
なお、図5、図8−図15に示す上部エンドキャップを使用するフィルタエレメントにおいても、フィルタ集合体2を、外側濾過部材14の上端部が他の部材11−13の上端部より低位置を占めるように形成することにより、該外側濾過部材14の上端部を中間壁21に当接させるようにしても良い。

Claims (7)
- 圧縮空気中に混入した塵埃及び液体を除去するための中空状をしたフィルタエレメントであって、該フィルタエレメントは、中空状をしたフィルタ集合体と、該フィルタ集合体の軸線方向の一端である上端に取り付けられた上部エンドキャップと、反対側の下端に取り付けられた下部エンドキャップとを有し、
前記フィルタ集合体は、圧縮空気が導入される中央空間部と、該中央空間部を取り囲む多孔状をした中空の内側コア部材と、該内側コア部材の外周を取り囲む中空の内側濾過部材と、該内側濾過部材の外周を取り囲む多孔状をした中空の外側コア部材と、該外側コア部材の外周を取り囲む中空の外側濾過部材とを有し、
前記上部エンドキャップは、該上部エンドキャップの中心側から外周側に向けて順に、前記中央空間部の上端部に嵌合する中空の内周壁と、前記外側コア部材の上端部外周を取り囲む中間壁と、前記外側濾過部材の上端部外周を取り囲む外周壁とを有し、前記中間壁の高さは、前記外周壁及び内周壁の高さより低く、
前記上部エンドキャップの内部には、前記中間壁が埋没する深さの接着剤が充填されていて、該接着剤の中に前記フィルタ集合体の上端部が差し込まれた状態で該フィルタ集合体と前記上部エンドキャップとが相互に接着されている、
ことを特徴とするフィルタエレメント。 - 前記中間壁は、前記内周壁と外周壁との中間位置より外周壁側に近寄った位置に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフィルタエレメント。
- 前記中間壁の下端部は、前記フィルタ集合体の内側コア部材、内側濾過部材、外側コア部材、及び外側濾過部材のうち、少なくとも内側コア部材、内側濾過部材、及び外側コア部材の上端部より下方位置にあることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のフィルタエレメント。
- 前記内側濾過部材は蛇腹状に折曲されていることを特徴とする請求項1から3の何れかに記載のフィルタエレメント。
- 前記中間壁は、全周にわたって連続していることを特徴とする請求項1から4の何れかに記載のフィルタエレメント。
- 前記中間壁は、複数の壁部分を間隔をおいて配設することにより、不連続状態に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から4の何れかに記載のフィルタエレメント。
- 前記中間壁は、径の異なる複数の環状壁によって多重に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1から5の何れかに記載のフィルタエレメント。
