前記シリンダ・ライナ(1)の軸方向域の中位周辺における前記シリンダ・ライナ(1)の壁の厚さの急激な遷移は前記クロスヘッド型2ストローク・エンジンのシリンダ・フレーム(23)に前記シリンダ・ライナ(1)を載せることができるショルダ部として働き、
さらに、
掃気ポート(19)と、
前記第1の端部直近の前記シリンダ・ライナ(1)の前記軸方向域の部分(U)における前記シリンダ・ライナ(1)の壁(29)で強制冷却するための冷却液用のたとえば周方向冷却用凹部又は周方向冷却用内径部などの少なくとも1つの冷却用凹部(31)又は少なくとも1つの冷却用内径部と

- 前記シリンダ・ライナ(1)の外周部の周囲に好ましくは実質的に均等なレベルにて分布した複数のシリンダ潤滑供給穴(25)を前記シリンダ・ライナ(1)の壁中にさらに備える、請求項1〜3の何れかに記載のシリンダ・ライナ(1)。
