Abstract
Description
電解質と、
電極積層体と、
前記電解質及び前記電極積層体を内蔵する空間部と、前記空間部を取り囲んでいる密封部とを含む電池ケースと、
ガス透過膜と、
を含んでいてもよい。
1つ以上の正極、1つ以上の負極、及び1つ以上の分離膜を含み、正極、分離膜、負極が、正極と負極との間に分離膜が介在するように積層されている積層構造を含む電極積層体と、
電解質と、
を含むことを特徴とするリチウム二次電池を提供する。
LixMyMn2−yO4−zAz (1)
上記式中、
0.9≦x≦1.2、0<y<2、0≦z<0.2であり、
Mは、Al、Mg、Ni、Co、Fe、Cr、V、Ti、Cu、B、Ca、Zn、Zr、Nb、Mo、Sr、Sb、W、Ti及びBiからなる群から選択される1つ以上の元素であり、
Aは、−1または−2価の1つ以上のアニオンである。
(1−x)LiM’O2−yAy −xLi2MnO3−y’Ay’ (2)
上記式中、
M’は、MnaMbであり、
Mは、Ni、Ti、Co、Al、Cu、Fe、Mg、B、Cr、Zr、Zn及び第2周期の遷移金属からなる群から選択される1つ以上であり、
Aは、PO4、BO3、CO3、F及びNO3のアニオンからなる群から選択される1つ以上であり、
0<x<1、0<y≦0.02、0<y’≦0.02、0.5≦a≦1.0、0≦b≦0.5、a+b=1である。
バインダーを溶媒に分散または溶解させてバインダー溶液を製造する過程と、
前記バインダー溶液と電極活物質及び導電材を混合して電極スラリーを製造する過程と、
前記電極スラリーを集電体上にコーティングする過程と、
電極を乾燥する過程と、
電極を一定の厚さに圧縮する過程とを含む。

上記式中、0.9≦x≦1.2、0<y<2、0≦z<0.2であり、
Mは、Al、Mg、Ni、Co、Fe、Cr、V、Ti、Cu、B、Ca、Zn、Zr、Nb、Mo、Sr、Sb、W、Ti及びBiからなる群から選択される1つ以上の元素であり、
Aは、−1または−2価の1つ以上のアニオンである。
LixNiyMn2−yO4 (2)
上記式中、0.9≦x≦1.2、0.4≦y≦0.5である。
LiaM’bO4−cAc (3)
上記式中、M’は、Ti、Sn、Cu、Pb、Sb、Zn、Fe、In、Al及びZrからなる群から選択される1つ以上の元素であり、
a及びbは、0.1≦a≦4、0.2≦b≦4の範囲においてM’の酸化数(oxidation number)に応じて決定され、
cは、0≦c<0.2の範囲において酸化数に応じて決定され、
Aは、−1または−2価の1つ以上のアニオンである。

上記式中、0.5≦a≦3、1≦b≦2.5である。
前記デバイスは、具体的に、携帯電話、携帯用コンピュータ、スマートフォン、スマートパッド、ネットブック、LEV(Light Electronic Vehicle)、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、及び電力貯蔵装置からなる群から選択されてもよい。
図1を参照すると、リチウム二次電池10は、電極積層体100、電池ケース200、ガス透過膜300、及び電解質(図示せず)からなっている。電池ケース200は、空間部210と密封部220を含んでおり、電極積層体100は空間部210に内蔵されている。ガス透過膜300は、電極積層体100と密封部220との間に設けられている。したがって、電極積層体100から発生したガスは、ガス透過膜300に排出された後、密封部220を通して電池の外部に排出され得る。一方、電解質はガス透過膜300を通過できないので、電解質が漏出することを防止することができる。
図2を参照すると、電池ケース20は、第1ケース21及び第2ケース22からなっている。第2ケース22は、第1ケース21から延びている構造となっている。

Claims (12)
- 第1ケースと、前記第1ケースと結合して電池ケースを密封する第2ケースとを含み、前記第1ケース及び前記第2ケースは、内部シーラント層、バリア層、及び外部被覆層を含むラミネートシートからなり、前記第1ケース及び前記第2ケースのうちの1つ以上は、全部または一部が多孔性のラミネートシートからなることを特徴とする、電池ケース。
- 前記多孔性のラミネートシートは、多孔性の内部シーラント層、多孔性のバリア層、及び多孔性の外部被覆層を含み、気孔の大きさが2.0Å以上〜10Å以下の範囲内であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池ケース。
- 前記内部シーラント層は無延伸ポリプロピレンからなり、前記バリア層は金属からなり、前記外部被覆層はポリエチレンテレフタレートからなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池ケース。
- 前記多孔性の内部シーラント層は多孔性の無延伸ポリプロピレンからなり、前記多孔性のバリア層は多孔性金属からなり、前記多孔性の外部被覆層は多孔性のポリエチレンテレフタレートからなることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電池ケース。
- 前記第2ケースは、前記1ケースの一部から延びることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池ケース。
- 前記第1ケースと前記第2ケースは、互いに分離された独立した部材であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池ケース。
- 請求項1に記載の電池ケースと、1つ以上の正極、1つ以上の負極及び1つ以上の分離膜を含み、正極、分離膜、負極が、正極と負極との間に分離膜が介在するように積層されている積層構造を含む電極積層体および、電解質とを含むことを特徴とする、リチウム二次電池。
- 正極活物質として、下記化学式(1)で表される化合物及び下記化学式(2)で表される化合物から選択された1つ以上のリチウム遷移金属酸化物を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載のリチウム二次電池。

上記式中、

0<x<1、0<y≦0.02、0<y’≦0.02、0.5≦a≦1.0、0≦b≦0.5、a+b=1である。 - 負極活物質として、炭素系物質及び/又はSiを含むことを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 前記リチウム二次電池は、リチウムイオン電池、リチウムイオンポリマー電池、またはリチウムポリマー電池であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のリチウム二次電池。
- 請求項7に記載のリチウム二次電池を含むことを特徴とする電池パック。
- 請求項11に記載の電池パックをエネルギー源として使用するデバイス。
