Abstract
Description
本出願は、35U.S.C.§119(米国特許法第119条)の下、November 6,2013に提出された仮出願番号No.61/900,678に対する利益を要求し、その内容は参照としてここに取り込まれる。
1.技術分野
本発明は、特に、船舶用2サイクルクロスヘッドディーゼルシリンダーエンジンを潤滑するための、船舶用(海洋)ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物に一般的に関する。
それほど大昔でない時、急激な高騰エネルギー費、特に原油及び鉱油を蒸留する際に受けるものが、航海船の運転者及び所有者などの輸送燃料のユーザーに対して耐え難い負担となってきた。それに呼応して、それらのユーザーは、燃料効率がより高い大型船舶用ディーゼルエンジンのために蒸気タービン推進装置から離れてそれらの運転の舵を取ってきた。ディーゼルエンジンは、一般に、低速、中速、又は高速エンジンに分類でき、低速多様性は、最も大きいディープシャフト船舶及びいくつかの他の工業用途に使用されている。
本発明の一形態は、以下を提供する:
(a)主要量の1種以上のII種ベースストック、及び
(b)(i)約100〜約250の全アルカリ価(TBN)を有するアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩、及び(ii)1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩、を含む洗浄剤組成物;
を含む船舶用ディーゼルシリンダーエンジン潤滑油組成物であって、
ここで、当該アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩の当該芳香族部位は、ヒドロキシル基を含有せず;そして、当該船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物が約5〜約120のTBNを有する、前記組成物。
改善された高温洗浄力及び熱安定性を有する船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑剤組成物で、船舶用2行程サイクルクロスヘッドディーゼルエンジンを潤滑する方法であって、以下の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物で当該エンジンを操作することを含む、前記方法:
(a)主要量の1種以上のII種ベースストック、及び
(b)(i)約100〜約250のTBNを有するアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩、及び(ii)1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩、を含む洗浄剤組成物;
を含む船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物であって、
ここで、当該アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩の当該芳香族部位は、ヒドロキシル基を含有せず;そして、当該船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物が約5〜約120のTBNを有する、前記組成物。
ここで、当該船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑剤組成物は、
(a)主要量の1種以上のII種ベースストック、及び
(b)(i)約100〜約250のTBNを有するアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩、及び(ii)1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩、を含む洗浄剤組成物;

定義
(a)主要量の1種以上のII種ベースストック、及び

を含む船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物であって、
ここで、当該アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩の当該芳香族部位は、ヒドロキシル基を含有せず;そして、当該船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物が約5〜約120のTBNを有する、前記組成物。
(i)約100〜約250のTBNを有するアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩、及び(ii)1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩、を含む洗浄剤組成物
を更に含み;ここで、当該アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩の当該芳香族部位は、ヒドロキシル基を含有しない。
ここでそれぞれのR1は、独立に、ポリオレフィン誘導基などのヒドロカルビル基である。典型的に、当該ヒドロカルビル基は、ポリイソブチル基などのアルキル基である。別の方法で表現すると、R1基は、約40〜約500個の炭素原子を含有でき、及びこれらの原子は脂肪族の形で存在してもよい。R2はアルキレン基であり、一般にエチレン(C2H4)基である。スクシンイミド分散剤の例は、例えば、U.S.特許Nos.3,172,892、4,234,435及び6,165,235に記載のものを含む。
例1−3及び比較例A−Jの船舶用ディーゼルエンジン潤滑油組成物を、表1中の以下に述べるように調製した。それぞれの船舶用ディーゼルエンジン潤滑油組成物は、40mgKOH/gのTBN及び14.5cSt@100Cの運動粘度を有する、SAE40粘度等級であった。例1−3及び比較例A−Jの船舶用ディーゼルエンジン潤滑油組成物は、主要量のII種ベースストック及び少量のI種ベースストック、表1で定義されるような洗浄剤組成物、及び0.04wt%の抑泡剤を使用して処方した。比較例Dは、約31.7wt%の希釈剤オイルを有する、重ポリアミン(HPA)/ジエチレントリアミン(DETA)及び1000MWポリイソブチレン無水コハク酸(PIBSA)から導かれるビススクシンイミド分散剤のオイル濃縮物を0.57wt%更に含んだ。
Claims (15)
- (a)主要量の1種以上のII種ベースストック、及び
(b)(i)約100〜約250の全アルカリ価(TBN)を有するアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩、及び(ii)1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩、を含む洗浄剤組成物;
を含む船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物であって、
ここで、当該アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩の芳香族部位は、ヒドロキシル基を含有せず;そして、当該船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物が約5〜約120のTBNを有する、前記組成物。 - 約20〜約60のTBNを有する、請求項1に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 約30〜約50のTBNを有する、請求項1に記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩が、アルキル置換ヒドロキシベンゾイックカルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩である、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩が、アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のカルシウム塩である、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩が、アルキル置換ヒドロキシベンゾイックカルボン酸の1種以上のカルシウム塩である、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のアルカリ土類金属塩のアルキル置換部位が、C10〜C40アルキル基である、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のアルカリ土類金属塩のアルキル置換部位が、C12〜C28アルキル基である、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- アルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸のアルカリ土類金属塩のアルキル置換部位が、C20〜C28アルキル基である、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩が、1種以上の高過塩基性アルカリ土類金属アルキル芳香族スルホネートである、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩が、1種以上の高過塩基性カルシウムアルキル芳香族スルホネートである、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホネートが、250より大きいTBNを有する、請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
- 以下を含む、請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物:
船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物の総重量に基づき、約100〜約250のTBNを有するアルキル置換ヒドロキシ芳香族カルボン酸の1種以上のアルカリ土類金属塩を活性基準で約0.1〜約35wt%;及び
船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物の総重量に基づき、1種以上の高過塩基性アルキル芳香族スルホン酸又はそれらの塩を活性基準で約0.1〜約34wt%。 - 酸化防止剤、無灰分散剤、洗浄剤、さび止め剤、曇り除去剤、抗乳化剤、金属不活性化剤、摩擦調整剤、流動点降下剤、消泡剤、補助溶媒、パッケージ適合化剤、腐食防止剤、染料、極圧添加剤及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される1種以上の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物添加剤を更に含む、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の船舶用ディーゼルシリンダー潤滑油組成物。
