Abstract
Description
ルックアップテーブル490は、電源が供給されない状態ではデータが保存できないが、データを相対的に速い速度で処理することができる揮発性メモリ装置でありうる。例えば、ルックアップテーブル490はDRAM(Dynamic Random Access Memory)、SRAM(Static Random Access Memory)、モバイルDRAMなどを含むことができる。

Claims (10)
- 複数の画素を備えた表示パネルと、
前記画素にスキャン信号を供給するスキャン駆動部と、
前記画素にデータ信号を供給するデータ駆動部と、
前記画素の累積駆動時間と効率値との関係を示す効率カーブを格納するルックアップテーブル(look-up table)と、
前記画素の劣化データが累積されて格納され、前記ルックアップテーブルから前記画素の前記効率値を導出するための効率転換領域を含む寿命レジスタと、
前記寿命レジスタから前記累積駆動時間を導出し、前記累積駆動時間に基づいて前記効率転換領域及び前記ルックアップテーブルを更新し、前記効率転換領域及び前記ルックアップテーブルを用いて入力映像データを出力映像データに変換し、前記出力映像データに相応する制御信号を前記スキャン駆動部及び前記データ駆動部に供給する制御部と、
を含むことを特徴とする、有機発光表示装置。 - 前記制御部は、
前記入力映像データに基づいて前記寿命レジスタに前記劣化データを累積して格納する劣化データ制御部と、
前記累積駆動時間に基づいて更新信号を生成する更新信号生成部と、
前記更新信号に応答して、前記累積駆動時間が増加するほど効率転換周期が長くなるように前記効率転換領域及び前記ルックアップテーブルを更新する補償基準更新部と、
前記効率転換領域及び前記ルックアップテーブルを用いて前記画素の前記効率値を導出する効率値導出部と、
前記効率値を用いて前記入力映像データを前記出力映像データに変換する劣化補償部と、
を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記更新信号生成部は、前記寿命レジスタに含まれた監視ビット(bit)の値が変更される場合、前記更新信号を生成することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記監視ビットは1ビットに設定され、前記監視ビットの値が変更される場合、前記監視ビットは1ビット移動することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記監視ビットは2ビット以上に設定されることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記補償基準更新部は、前記更新信号に応答して前記効率転換領域を1ビット移動させることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記補償基準更新部は、前記更新信号に応答して不揮発性メモリ装置から前記効率転換領域に相応する前記効率カーブを前記ルックアップテーブルにローディングすることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記制御部は、
前記効率転換領域に相応して前記効率カーブをスケーリング(scaling)する効率カーブ調整部をさらに含み、
前記補償基準更新部は、前記更新信号に応答して前記スケーリングされた効率カーブで前記ルックアップテーブルを更新することを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。 - 前記効率カーブ調整部は、前記更新信号に応答して前記効率転換周期が2倍になるように前記効率カーブをスケーリングすることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の有機発光表示装置。
- 前記補償基準更新部は、MCU(micro control unit)であることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の有機発光表示装置。
