- 前記長手方向穴(77)と前記バルブニードル(61)との間の前記クリアランスに着火液を送給するために、前記着火液供給管(76)は、前記着火液導入ポート(78)を前記長手方向穴(77)に開口するポートに接続している、請求項3または4に記載の燃料バルブ。
- 前記着火液のソース(57)の圧力は、前記ガス燃料のソース(60)の圧力よりも高い、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の燃料バルブ。

- 複数のシリンダ(1)と、高圧ガス燃料供給システムと、高圧着火液供給システムと、前記シリンダに設けられる請求項1から10のいずれかに記載の1又は複数の燃料バルブ(50)とを有する、大型低速ターボ過給式2ストローク式自己着火型内燃エンジンであって、前記燃料バルブ(50)は、前記高圧ガス燃料供給システムと前記着火液供給システムとに接続されている、大型低速ターボ過給式2ストローク式自己着火型内燃エンジン。
- 前記燃料チャンバ(58)に蓄積された着火液の補助を受けることにより、かつその他着火装置を用いることなく、噴射されたガス燃料を自己着火させるように構成されている、請求項10に記載のエンジン。
- 前記ガス燃料が前記サック室(55)に侵入するに際し、前記ガス燃料を着火させるように構成される、請求項10又は11に記載のエンジン。
- 前記ガス燃料のソースが、前記ガス燃料を高圧で前記燃料バルブ(50)に送給し、前記着火液のソースは、前記ガス燃料のソースの圧力よりも高い圧力で前記着火液を送給するように構成されている、請求項10から12の何れか1項に記載のエンジン。
- 大型低速ターボ過給式2ストローク式自己着火型内燃エンジンを作動させる方法であって、該方法は、前記エンジンの燃料バルブ(50)に第1高圧の加圧ガス燃料を供給することを含み、
但し、前記燃料バルブは、後端と前端とを有する、細長の燃料バルブ筺体(52)を備え、前記燃料バルブ(50)は、複数のノズル穴(56)を有する中空ノズル(54)を備え、前記複数のノズル穴(56)は、前記中空ノズル(54)の内部(55)を、前記エンジンのシリンダ(1)内の燃焼室に接続し、前記ノズル(54)は、基部(51)と、細長のノズル本体とを備え、前記基部(51)において、前記燃料バルブ筺体(52)の前端に接続され、さらに前記ノズル(54)は、前記ノズル穴(56)を有する閉じた先端(59)を有し、前記ノズル穴(56)は前記先端(59)に近接して設けられ、

前記燃料バルブ(50)に、前記第1高圧よりも高い第2高圧の着火液を供給することと;
前記中空ノズル(54)の上にあるバルブシート(69)であって、その上に燃料チャンバ(58)が配されているバルブシート(69)と協働する可動バルブニードル(61)を用いて、ガス燃料の噴射を制御することと;
前記ガス燃料を用いて前記燃料チャンバ(58)を加圧することと;
前記バルブニードル(61)が前記バルブニードル(61)上に載っている間に、少量の着火液の連続的な流れを前記燃料チャンバ(58)に送給し、該着火液が、前記バルブシートの上方に蓄積することを可能にすることと;
前記バルブシート(69)から前記軸方向に移動可能なバルブニードル(61)を上昇させることによってガス燃料噴射イベントを開始し、それによって、前記蓄積した着火液を、前記ガス燃料よりも前に前記中空ノズル(54)に侵入させることと;
