Abstract
Description
本発明は、上記従来の課題を解決するもので、複数のパターンを表示でき、かつ導光板の透明性を向上させることができる導光板表示装置を提供することを目的とする。
本発明の実施の形態における導光板表示装置10は、図1及び図2に示すように、光源装置100と、導光板101と、複数のプリズム102とを備える。
プリズム102は、導光板101の内部に複数形成される。各プリズムは、導光板101の材料より屈折率の低い透光性材料で形成されても良く、導光板101の内部に設けられる空隙であっても良い。
なお、導光板101は平板状であることを述べたが、わずかに湾曲していてもよい。
また、パターン表示において、パターンのエッジ部分のプリズム102の高さを、エッジ部分以外のプリズム102の高さよりも高くすることで、パターンのエッジが強調されて、見やすいパターン表示を行うことができる。

Claims (10)
- 表示面と複数の端面とを有し、透光性材料で形成される導光板と、
前記導光板の各端面に沿って設けられ、前記導光板の各端面から前記導光板の内部に向かって光を照射する複数の光源装置と、
前記導光板の内部に形成される複数のプリズムとを備え、
各プリズムは、各光源装置と向かい合う複数の側面を有しており、
各側面は、前記導光板の厚み方向において、前記光源装置から照射される光を透過させる透過斜面と、前記光源装置から照射される光を反射させて前記表示面に射出する反射斜面とで、少なくとも2段階に傾斜する
ことを特徴とする導光板表示装置。 - 前記導光板は、前記表示面の反対側に裏面を有し、
各プリズムの前記透過斜面は、それぞれ前記裏面と接続される
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の導光板表示装置。 - 前記プリズムの反射斜面は、互いに傾斜角度が異なる第1反射斜面と第2反射斜面とで構成され、
前記プリズムの各側面は、前記導光板の厚み方向において、前記第1反射斜面と、前記第2反射斜面と、前記透過斜面とで、3段階に傾斜する
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の導光板表示装置。 - 各プリズムは、前記導光板の内部において各側面を相互に接続する平坦面をさらに有する
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の導光板表示装置。 - 各光源装置と向かい合う側面が、前記光源装置から照射される光を透過させる透過斜面で構成されるダミープリズムをさらに備える
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の導光板表示装置。 - 前記プリズム及び前記ダミープリズムが形成される領域の面積は、前記プリズム及びダミープリズムのどちらも形成されない領域の面積の10分の1以下である
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の導光板表示装置。 - 前記光源装置は、
前記導光板の端面に沿って配列され、有効射出面が前記導光板の端面と向かい合う複数の光源と、
前記複数の光源を光源搭載面に搭載する光源基板と、
前記複数の光源と前記導光板の端面との間に配置される入光レンズと、
前記光源基板と前記導光板の端面との間を除いて、前記複数の光源と前記光源基板と前記入光レンズとを囲う反射板とを備え、
前記入光レンズは、前記複数の光源側で、各光源から照射される光を平行光化する第1レンズ面と、前記導光板の端面側で、平行光化された光を拡散させる第2レンズ面とで構成され、
前記反射板は、前記導光板の厚み方向から見て、前記有効射出面と前記光源搭載面との間にくびれ部を有し、前記くびれ部から前記導光板の端面に向かって広がるように開口し、
前記導光板の厚さ方向において、前記くびれ部同士の間隔は、前記有効射出面の幅よりも大きい
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の導光板表示装置。 - 前記反射板は、鏡面反射板である
ことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の導光板表示装置。 - 前記光源基板の光源搭載面は、黒色に塗装される
ことを特徴とする請求項7又は8に記載の導光板表示装置。 - 前記導光板の各端面は、前記光源装置に向かって凸のV字形状である
ことを特徴とする請求項7〜9のいずれか1項に記載の導光板表示装置。
