Abstract

Description
前記ストリップは、前記光学シートの最上面(top surface)または前記光転換層の最上面のエッジに隣接した部分と重なる(overlap)ように前記光学シートまたは前記光転換層のエッジに沿って延長されている。
光を放出する光源と、
前記光源に離隔して設置されて前記光源からの入射光を白色光に転換させて出射させる光転換層と、
前記光転換層の上に配置される一つ以上の光学シートと、
前記光転換層および前記光学シートのうちの一つ以上の位置を限定するガイドとを含むモールドフレームと、
前記モールドフレームに配置されたストリップと、を有し、
前記ガイドは、液晶パネルに向かう第1表面と、前記第1表面と反対になる第2表面と、
第1表面の角部から第2表面の角部に向かって延長された第3表面とを含み、
前記ストリップは、前記第2表面の少なくとも一部に提供され、
前記ストリップは、前記光転換層の最上面または前記光学シートのうちのいずれか一つの最上面のエッジに隣接した部分と重なるようになっている。

前記液晶パネルに光を照射するバックライトユニットと、
前記バックライトユニットを収容し、前記液晶パネルの位置を限定するモールドフレームと、を含む。
前記ストリップは、前記第2表面の少なくとも一部には提供され、
前記ストリップは、前記光転換層の最上面または前記光学シートのうちのいずれか一つの最上面のエッジに隣接した部分と重なる。
光源と、
前記光源に離隔して設置されて前記光源から入射された光を白色光に転換させて液晶パネル側に出射させる光転換層と、
前記光転換層上に配置される一つ以上の光学シートと、
前述した一実施形態によるモールドフレームと、を含む。
液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルに光を照射する前述したバックライトユニットと、
前述したモールドフレームと、を含む。
図11に示した液晶表示装置を用いて一側エッジに全体幅7mmの反射フィルムストリップ(全長40cm)、全体幅7mmの蛍光体含有ストリップ(全長40cm)、および全体幅7mmの量子ドット含有ストリップ(全長:40cm)を付着し、装着前と後の表示装置中央とエッジ部間の色温度差を測定する。
図11に示した液晶表示装置を用いて一側エッジに全体幅5mmの反射フィルムストリップ(全長40cm)、全体幅5mmの蛍光体含有ストリップ(全長40cm)、および全体幅5mmの量子ドット含有ストリップ(全長40cm)を付着し、装着前と後の表示装置中央とエッジ部間の色温度差を測定する。
Claims (35)
- 光転換層および前記光転換層上に配置された一つ以上の光学シートの位置を限定する第1ガイドを含むモールドフレームであって、
前記第1ガイドは、液晶パネルに向かう第1表面と、前記第1表面と反対になる第2表面と、第1表面の角部から第2表面の角部に向かって延長された第3表面とを含み、
前記第2表面の少なくとも一部には、ストリップが提供され、
前記ストリップは、前記光学シートの最上面または前記光転換層の最上面のエッジに隣接した部分と重なる、モールドフレーム。 - 前記第1表面は、前記液晶パネルを支持する、請求項1に記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記第1ガイドの上に配置され、前記液晶パネルの位置を限定する第2ガイドと、
前記第1ガイドの下に配置され、光転換シート、前記一つ以上の光学シート、またはこれらのすべての位置を追加的に限定する第3ガイドと、
のうちの一つ以上をさらに含む、請求項1または2に記載のモールドフレーム。 - 前記第2表面は、前記光転換層の位置を限定し、前記第3表面は、前記光学シートの位置を限定する、請求項1〜3のいずれか一つに記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記第3表面は、段差を有し、前記段差の上部、下部、またはこれらのすべてが前記光学シートの位置を限定する、請求項4に記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記段差の下部が前方に突出していて前記光学シートの底面を支持する、請求項5に記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記ストリップの底面の少なくとも一部が前記光転換層の最上面のエッジと対向するか、または前記光学シートのうちのいずれか一つの最上面のエッジと対向している、請求項1〜6のいずれか一つに記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記ストリップは、平板表示装置の画面エッジ部で光漏れを抑制する、請求項1〜7のいずれか一つに記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記ストリップは、平板表示装置の画面エッジ部から放出される光の色温度を低める、請求項1〜8のいずれか一つに記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記ストリップは、ポリマーマトリックスおよび前記ポリマーマトリックス内に分散した半導体ナノ結晶、無機蛍光体、有機染料、またはこれらの組み合わせを含むフィルム、反射物質を含む反射フィルム、光散乱層および前記光散乱層上に積層された光吸収層を含む積層フィルム、またはこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一つに記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記ポリマーマトリックスは、チオールエン樹脂、ポリ(メト)アクリレート系樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、シリコン樹脂、ウレタン樹脂、オレフィン樹脂、ポリビニル、ポリエステル、またはこれらの組み合わせである、請求項10に記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記反射フィルムは、正反射フィルム、乱反射フィルム、またはこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項10に記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記光散乱層は、シリカ、アルミナ、ガラス、炭酸カルシウム(CaCO3)、タルク、マイカ、酸化アルミニウム、チタン酸バリウム、炭酸バリウム、硫酸バリウム、酸化亜鉛(ZnO)、酸化セリウム、二酸化チタン、酸化ジルコニウム(ZrO2)、水酸化アルミニウム、および酸化マグネシウム(MgO)から選択された1種以上を含むポリマー層であり、前記光吸収層は、カーボンブラック、ブラック染料、ブラック顔料、酸化鉄、酸化銅、酸化錫またはこれらの混合物を含むポリマー層であり、前記光散乱層が前記光学シートの最上面または前記光転換層の最上面のエッジに隣接した部分と重なるように配置される、請求項10に記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記ストリップは、前記第2表面の全部をカバーする、請求項1〜13のいずれか一つに記載のモールドフレーム。
- 前記ストリップは、厚さが10mm以下である、請求項1〜13のいずれか一つに記載のモールドフレーム。
- 光源と、
前記光源に離隔して設置されて前記光源から入射された光を白色光に転換させて出射させる光転換層と、
前記光転換層のエッジ部に重なるストリップを含むバックライトユニット。 - 前記ストリップは、光転換ストリップである、請求項16に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記光転換ストリップは、前記光転換層のエッジ部に接触する、請求項17に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記光転換層の上に配置された一つ以上の光学シートをさらに含む、請求項17または18に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記光転換ストリップは、前記光学シートのエッジ部に接触する、請求項19に記載のバックライトユニット。
- モールドフレームをさらに含み、前記ストリップは、前記モールドフレームと前記光転換層のエッジ部の間に配置される、請求項16〜20のいずれか一つに記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記ストリップは、前記モールドフレームに付着される、請求項21に記載のバックライトユニット。
- 前記ストリップは、ポリマーマトリックスおよび前記ポリマーマトリックス内に分散した半導体ナノ結晶、無機蛍光体、有機染料、またはこれらの組み合わせを含むフィルム、反射物質を含む反射フィルム、または光散乱層およびそれに接触する光吸収層を含む積層フィルムを含む、請求項16〜22のいずれか一つに記載のバックライトユニット。

- 前記光転換層上に配置された一つ以上の光学シートをさらに含む、請求項25または26に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記光転換ストリップは、前記光学シートのエッジ部に接触する、請求項27に記載の液晶表示装置。

- ポリマーマトリックスおよび前記ポリマーマトリックス内に分散した複数の半導体ナノ結晶、複数の蛍光体、またはこれらの組み合わせを含む光転換シートであって、
前記光転換シートの一側表面には、ストリップが提供されており、前記ストリップは、前記光転換シートの少なくとも一部のエッジに沿って延長されている、光転換シート。 - 前記ストリップは、前記光転換シートのエッジから突出して段差を形成する、請求項32に記載の光転換シート。
- 前記ストリップは、前記光転換シートのエッジ全体に沿って延長されている、請求項32に記載の光転換シート。
- 前記ストリップは、前記ポリマーマトリックスおよび前記ポリマーマトリックス内に分散した半導体ナノ結晶、無機蛍光体、有機染料、またはこれらの組み合わせを含むフィルム、反射機能を有する反射フィルム、光散乱層およびそれに接する光吸収層を含む積層フィルム、またはこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項32〜34のいずれか一つに記載の光転換シート。
