Claims (7)
- 画素を駆動する複数の駆動素子を備えた第1の基板と、
この第1の基板に対して対向配置される第2の基板と、
前記駆動素子の駆動用の外部信号を伝達する信号伝達部材とを具備し、
前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板とのいずれか一方は、他方に対して外形が大きく、表示側に配置されているとともに、他方と対向しない位置でかつ表示側と反対側の位置に接続部を備え、
前記信号伝達部材は、前記接続部に対して少なくとも一方の端部が接続され、他方の端部側が内方に向かって延伸している
ことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記第1の基板は、前記第2の基板より外形が大きく、表示側に配置されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の表示装置。 - 前記接続部は、前記駆動素子の一部と同工程で形成された配線構造によって構成されている
ことを特徴とする請求項2記載の表示装置。 - 前記第2の基板は、前記第1の基板より外形が大きく、表示側に配置され、
前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との間に設けられ、これら第1の基板と第2の基板との間で信号を伝達する信号接続手段を備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の表示装置。 - 前記接続部と前記信号伝達部材の一端側との間に介在され、前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板とのいずれか一方に対して法線方向に沿って前記接続部と前記信号伝達部材との間で信号を伝達する接続部材を備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし4いずれか一記載の表示装置。 - 少なくとも一部が画像を透過表示する表示装置であって、
前記接続部材に配置された光源、及び、この光源からの光を面状光に変換して前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との他方に入射させる導光体を有するバックライトを備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項5記載の表示装置。 - 少なくとも一部が画像を透過表示する表示装置であって、
前記信号伝達部材に配置された光源、及び、この光源からの光を面状光に変換して前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との他方に入射させる導光体を有するバックライトを備えた
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし4いずれか一記載の表示装置。
