本発明による脱毛防止及び毛髪成長促進用組成物の効果を調べるために、C57BL/6Nマウスを用いて本組成物の毛髪成長促進効果を確認した。前記脱毛防止及び毛髪成長促進用組成物は、麻仁抽出物及び蘇木抽出物を用いた。C57BL/6Nマウスが二番目の退行期(catagen)に入る生後7週齢マウスの毛を完全に除毛した後、本発明の組成物と対照物質とをマウス10匹ずつ150μLずつ1日1回連続して5週間塗布した。経時的な毛髪成長促進程度を肉眼で比較して、結論を出した(図5)。陰性対照群としては、毛髪成長促進効果のない80%エタノールを使い、陽性対照群としては、3%ミノキシジルを使った。下記の表6は、経時的な毛髪の成長程度を、肉眼観察を通じて比較分析した表である。
