基板にダイをはんだ付けし、シリコーンドームを成形した後、光出力が測定された。これらの結果は、澄明な水ガラスが、参照試料に比べて光出力を大幅には変えないことを示した。これは、ドームと水ガラスとの同様の屈折率により、尤もらしく思われる。有孔ルミネセンス材料を有するダイは、ルミネセンス材料を有さないダイの約56%の光を生成する。
Claims (15)
- 光源と、光変換層とを備える照明ユニットであって、前記光源が、光源光を提供し、発光ダイオード(LED)を備え、前記光変換層が、粒子状ルミネセンス材料を含有するケイ酸アルカリマトリックスを備え、前記光変換層が、前記光源光の少なくとも一部をルミネセンス材料光に変換する照明ユニット。
- 前記ケイ酸アルカリマトリックスが、SiO2*M2Oを含み、Mが、Li、Na、及びKからなる群から選択される種を含み、SiO2とM2Oとのモル比が、2:1〜4:1の範囲内である請求項1に記載の照明ユニット。
- 前記ケイ酸アルカリマトリックスが、M2SiO3を含み、Mが、Li、Na、及びKからなる群から選択される種を含む請求項1又は2に記載の照明ユニット。
- 前記Mが、少なくともNaを含む請求項2又は3に記載の照明ユニット。
- 前記光源が、青色光源光を発生し、前記光源と、前記光変換層とが、白色照明ユニット光を提供する請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の照明ユニット。
- 前記粒子状ルミネセンス材料が、ガーネットを含有する3価セリウム、窒化物を含有する2価ユーロピウム、酸窒化物を含有する3価セリウム、及び酸窒化物を含有する2価ユーロピウムからなる群から選択される1つ又は複数のルミネセンス材料を含む請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載の照明ユニット。
- 前記光変換層が、少なくとも10wt%のケイ酸アルカリを含み、前記光変換層内の前記ケイ酸アルカリと前記ルミネセンス材料との重量比が、20:1〜1:20の範囲内である請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載の照明ユニット。
- 前記光変換層が、ガラス繊維を更に含む請求項1乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の照明ユニット。
- 前記光変換層の下流に構成された透過性光学素子を更に備え、前記透過性光学素子が、ドーム、コーティング、及び支持体からなる群から選択される請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の照明ユニット。
- 前記光変換層が、前記光源から離れて構成される請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の照明ユニット。
- 基板に光変換層を提供するための方法であって、前記光変換層が、粒子を備えるルミネセンス材料を含有するケイ酸アルカリマトリックスを備え、前記方法が、粒子状ルミネセンス材料と、ケイ酸アルカリマトリックス前駆体液体と、任意選択的に1つ又は複数の他の成分とを混合するステップと、任意選択的に1つ又は複数の更なるプロセス段階の後に、そのようにして得られた混合物を前記基板の表面に塗布するステップと、そのようにして形成された層を乾燥させて、前記光変換層を提供するステップとを含む方法。
- 前記基板が、LED、透過性支持体、又はウェハを備える請求項11に記載の方法。
- 二酸化ケイ素と酸化アルカリとのモル重量比が、2:1〜4:1の範囲内である請求項11又は12に記載の方法。
- 前記ケイ酸アルカリマトリックス前駆体液体が、液体水ガラスを含む請求項11乃至13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 照明ユニットにおける光変換層としての粒子状ルミネセンス材料用のマトリックスとしての固体水ガラスの使用。
