実施例13では、実施例1乃至12のいずれかに従ったプローブにおいて、前記流体通路内の流体は、前記超音波撮像センサと体組織とを音響的に結合する。
実施例17では、実施例14乃至16のいずれかに従ったプローブにおいて、前記アブレーション電極先端部の前記内腔は近位側流体室と遠位側流体室とを備え、前記近位側流体室と前記遠位側流体室とは前記中子によって分離されている。
Claims (20)
- 体組織を治療および撮像するためのアブレーションプローブにおいて、
近位側部分および遠位側部分を有する長尺状プローブ本体と、
前記長尺状プローブ本体の前記遠位側部分に接続され、アブレーションエネルギーを体組織に送達するように構成されているアブレーション電極先端部と、
前記アブレーション電極先端部を貫通して配置された複数の音響的開口と、
前記アブレーション電極先端部の内腔に配置された複数の超音波撮像センサと、
前記複数の超音波撮像センサと前記複数の音響的開口との間に配置された音響的透明部材と、
前記複数の超音波撮像センサと前記音響的透明部材との間に介在された流体通路と
を備えるアブレーションプローブ。 - 各超音波撮像センサは、前記流体通路、前記音響的透明部材、及び前記複数の音響的開口のうちの対応する1つの音響的開口を介して超音波を送出するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記アブレーション電極先端部は管状形金属シェルを備える、請求項1に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記複数の音響的開口は、前記アブレーション電極先端部のまわりに周方向に沿って位置する、請求項1に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記アブレーション電極先端部はさらに複数のイリゲーションポートを備える、請求項1に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記複数のイリゲーションポートは前記アブレーション電極先端部のまわりに周方向に沿って位置する、請求項5に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記複数のイリゲーションポートは前記複数の音響的開口の遠位側に、または近位側に、または遠位側および近位側に位置する、請求項5に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記複数の超音波撮像センサは前記アブレーション電極先端部の前記内腔において前記複数のイリゲーションポートより近位側の位置に位置する、請求項5に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記複数の超音波撮像センサの各々は、前記アブレーション電極先端部の側面から、側方を指向する超音波を送出するように構成されている、請求項1に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記アブレーション電極先端部内に配置され、前記アブレーション電極先端部の遠位端から遠位方向に超音波を送出するように構成されている少なくとも1つの付加的な超音波撮像センサをさらに備える、請求項9に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記音響的透明部材はさらに、前記少なくとも1つの付加的な超音波撮像センサと、前記アブレーション電極先端部を貫通して配置された遠位向きの音響的開口との間に配置されており、前記流体通路はさらに、前記少なくとも1つの付加的な超音波撮像センサと前記遠位向きの音響的開口との間に介在されている、請求項10に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記音響的透明部材は管状形シェルを備える、請求項1に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記流体通路内の流体は前記超音波撮像センサと体組織とを音響的に結合する、請求項1に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記複数の超音波撮像センサを前記アブレーション電極先端部の前記内腔内に支持するように構成された中子をさらに備える、請求項1に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記中子は、超音波トランスデューサを受容するように各々が構成された複数の凹部を備えた円筒形の中子本体を備える、請求項14に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 各超音波撮像センサの送波面は、前記中子本体の外面とほぼ面一である、請求項14に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 前記アブレーション電極先端部の前記内腔は、近位側流体室と、遠位側流体室とを備え、前記近位側流体室と遠位側流体室とは前記中子によって分離されている、請求項14に記載のアブレーションプローブ。
- 体組織を治療および撮像するためのアブレーションプローブにおいて、
近位側部分および遠位側部分を有する長尺状プローブ本体と、
前記長尺状プローブ本体の前記遠位側部分に接続され、アブレーションエネルギーを体組織に送達するように構成されているアブレーション電極先端部と、
前記アブレーション電極先端部の側面を貫通して配置された複数の音響的開口と、
前記アブレーション電極先端部の内腔に配置された中子と、
前記中子に結合され、前記アブレーション電極先端部の側面から超音波を送出するように構成されている複数の側方向きの超音波撮像センサと、
前記複数の側方向きの超音波撮像センサと前記複数の音響的開口との間に配置された音響的透明部材と、
前記複数の側方向きの超音波撮像センサと前記音響的透明部材との間に介在された流体通路と、
前記アブレーション電極の前記内腔に配置され、前記アブレーション電極先端部の遠位端から遠位方向に超音波を送出するように構成されている少なくとも1つの遠位向きの超音波撮像センサと
を備える、アブレーションプローブ。 - アブレーションおよび超音波撮像システムにおいて、
アブレーションエネルギーを体組織に送達するように構成されたアブレーション電極先端部を備えたアブレーションプローブと、前記アブレーション電極先端部は、
前記アブレーション電極先端部を貫通して配置された複数の音響的開口と、
前記アブレーション電極先端部の内腔に配置された複数の超音波撮像センサと、
前記複数の超音波撮像センサと前記複数の音響的開口との間に配置された音響的透明部材と、
前記複数の超音波撮像センサと前記複数の音響的透明部材との間に介在された流体通路とを備えるものであり、
前記複数の超音波撮像センサと体組織とを音響的に結合する冷却流体を前記アブレーション電極先端部に送達するように構成された流体供給源と、
前記アブレーション電極先端部への電気的信号を生成および供給するように構成されたアブレーション治療モジュールと、
前記複数の超音波撮像センサから受信した超音波撮像信号を処理するように構成された超音波撮像モジュールと
を備える、アブレーションおよび超音波撮像システム。 - 前記超音波撮像モジュールは、
各超音波撮像センサを制御するための制御信号を生成するように構成された信号発生器と、
各超音波撮像センサから受信した電気的信号を処理し、複数の超音波画像を生成するように構成された画像プロセッサとを備える、請求項19に記載のアブレーションおよび超音波撮像システム。
