Abstract
Description
また、第1絶縁テープ216a,216bが、正極の巻取り終了部において、負極254と対向する正極活物質コーティング部219c,219dの境界面にそれぞれ付着されている。
銅の含量が96%(元素含量基準)、ニッケルの含量が3%、錫の含量が1%である合金の負極リードを製造し、アルミニウムからなる正極リードを準備した。このような電極リードを負極及び正極の無地部に超音波融着し、正極と負極との間に分離膜が介在した状態で巻き取ってジェリーロールを形成した後、ステンレススチールの円筒状の缶に挿入し、電解液を注入して、電池セルを作製した。
銅の含量が89%、ニッケルの含量が10%、錫の含量が1%である合金の負極リードを製造して用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で電池セルを作製した。
ニッケルの含量が99%、錫の含量が1%である合金の負極リードを製造して用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で電池セルを作製した。
まず、実施例1及び2と比較例1の電池セルに用いられた負極リードの抵抗及び強度を測定した。その結果、実施例1及び2の負極リードは、比較例1の負極リードと比較してほぼ同一の結合強度を有しながらも、約10%〜50%の範囲で抵抗減少の効果を奏することを確認した。
Claims (26)
- 正極集電体の少なくとも一面に正極活物質コーティング部を含む正極と、負極集電体の少なくとも一面に負極活物質コーティング部を含む負極とが分離膜が介在した状態で巻き取られているジェリーロール型電極組立体(“ジェリーロール”)、及び電解液が電池ケースに内蔵されており、
正極無地部に結合された正極リード及び負極無地部に結合された負極リードのうち少なくとも一つは、電極無地部に対する結合及び/または電池ケースに対する結合に用いられる第1金属層と、前記第1金属層よりも相対的に抵抗の低い第2金属層と、の結合からなっていることを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記電池ケースは、円筒状の缶であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1金属層は、電極無地部または電池ケースに溶接方式で結合されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第2金属層の抵抗は、第1金属層の抵抗に対して10%〜70%の大きさであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1金属層と第2金属層との結合は、異種材料結合法により達成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記異種材料結合法は、熱融着方法、圧延方法、化学的接着方法、レーザー溶接、スポット溶接、メッキ方法、またはコーティング方法であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1金属層と第2金属層とは上下に結合されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第2金属層を中心として両側面にそれぞれ第1金属層が結合されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1金属層はニッケル層またはアルミニウム層であり、第2金属層は銅層または銀層であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極リードまたは負極リードは、厚さを基準として5%〜95%の銅と95%〜5%のニッケルとからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極リードまたは負極リードは、厚さを基準として50%の銅と50%のニッケルとからなることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極リードまたは負極リードの厚さは0.05mm〜0.15mmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1金属層の厚さは、第2金属層の厚さと同一の大きさに形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1金属層の幅は、第2金属層の幅と同一の大きさに形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極の巻取り開始部は、正極集電体の上部及び下部の全てに正極活物質コーティング部を有することによって正極無地部を含まず、正極の巻取り終了部にのみ正極リードの設置のための正極無地部を含み、
前記正極の巻取り終了部に位置し、前記負極と対向する正極活物質コーティング部の境界面には絶縁テープを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記正極の巻取り開始部は、正極集電体の上部及び下部の全てに正極活物質コーティング部を有することによって正極無地部を含まず、正極の巻取り終了部にのみ正極リードの設置のための正極無地部を含み、
前記正極無地部の末端部の少なくとも一面に正極活物質コーティング部をさらに含み、前記正極の巻取り終了部に位置し、前記負極と対向する正極活物質コーティング部の境界面には絶縁テープを含んでいることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記第1金属層及び第2金属層とは、予め結合された状態で電極無地部に結合されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記第1金属層及び第2金属層は、電極無地部に結合される過程で共に結合されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 正極集電体の少なくとも一面に正極活物質コーティング部を含む正極と、負極集電体の少なくとも一面に負極活物質コーティング部を含む負極とが分離膜が介在した状態で巻き取られているジェリーロール型電極組立体(“ジェリーロール”)、及び電解液が電池ケースに内蔵されており、
銅とニッケルを含み、銅の含量が80%以上である(元素含量基準)合金からなる電極リードが、溶接によって、正極集電体または負極集電体に結合されていることを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記合金は、銅の含量は80%〜99.9%であり、ニッケルの含量は0.1%〜20%であることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の二次電池。
- 前記合金には、錫及び硅素からなる群から選択される1種以上の異種元素をさらに含んでいることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の二次電池。
- 前記異種元素の含量は、合金の総含量を基準として0.1%〜10%であることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の二次電池。
- 前記合金は、銅の含量が80%〜99.8%であり、ニッケルの含量が0.1%〜10%であり、異種元素の含量が0.1%〜10%であることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の二次電池。
- 前記正極集電体に結合されている電極リードと、負極集電体に結合されている電極リードとは同一の大きさからなることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電極リードは、超音波溶接により正極集電体または負極集電体に結合されていることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の二次電池。
- 請求項1又は19のいずれかに記載の二次電池を電源として含む電動用工具。
