Abstract
Description
一つの集電体を準備する段階;
前記一つの集電体に正極活物質と負極活物質をそれぞれ両面に繰り返してコーティングし、所定間隔に離隔された一つ以上の負極パターン及び正極パターンと、活物質が塗布されない一つ以上の無地部を形成する段階;
前記活物質が塗布されない一つ以上の無地部を、垂直断面上で千鳥状に折り曲げる段階;
前記折り曲げて対面する正極パターン及び負極パターンのそれぞれの界面に、セパレータを介在してフォールディング(folding)する段階;
前記活物質が塗布されない一つ以上の折り曲げられた無地部を切断する段階を含む電極組立体の製造方法を提供する。
実施例1
正極活物質としてLiCoO2 95重量%、Super-P(導電剤)2.5重量%及びPVdF(結合剤)2.5重量%を、溶剤であるNMP(N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone)に添加して正極混合物スラリーを製造し、負極活物質として人造黒煙95重量%、Super-P(導電剤)2.5重量%及びPVdF(結合剤)2.5重量%を、溶剤であるNMPに添加して負極混合物スラリーを製造した。
正極活物質としてLiCoO2 95重量%、Super-P(導電剤)2.5重量%及びPVdF(結合剤)2.5重量%を、溶剤であるNMP(N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone)に添加して正極混合物スラリーを製造し、アルミニウムホイルの一面にそれぞれコーティング、乾燥、及び圧着して正極を製造した。
セパレータでセルガードTMを用いており、前記正極と負極を垂直断面上で千鳥状を有するように折り曲げた後、そのような形態に折り曲げられた前記セパレータを挟んで、前記正極と負極の活物質層が対面するように嵌め合うことにより電極組立体を製造した。前記電極組立体を電池ケースに内装した後、電解液を注入して電池を製造した。

Claims (14)
- 一つの集電体を準備する段階;
前記一つの集電体に正極活物質と負極活物質をそれぞれ両面に繰り返してコーティングし、一つ以上の負極パターン及び正極パターンと、前記活物質が塗布されない一つ以上の無地部を形成する段階;
前記活物質が塗布されない一つ以上の無地部を垂直断面上で千鳥状に折り曲げる段階;
前記折り曲げて対面する正極パターン及び負極パターンのそれぞれの界面にセパレータを介在してフォールディング(folding)する段階;及び
折り曲げられた無地部を切断する段階を含むことを特徴とする電極組立体の製造方法。 - 前記電極組立体は、重畳式電極組立体であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記方法は、正極活物質及び負極活物質を集電体の両面にコーティングした後、折り曲げる前、乾燥及びプレッシングする段階をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記正極パターン及び負極パターンの幅は同一であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記無地部の幅は、電極パターンの全体幅を基準に5ないし10%であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項4に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記無地部には、折り曲げを容易にするためのマーキング(marking)が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記マーキングは、折り曲げ予定部位に沿って一定の間隔で穿孔された一つ以上の孔を含むことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項6に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記集電体の一側または両側端部には、電極リードを付着するため、電極活物質が塗布されない無地部をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記セパレータは、絶縁性素材の薄い多孔性薄膜であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記フォールディング段階後、正極パターン/セパレータ/負極パターン/セパレータからなる単位セルが、交互積層されているラミネーション構造が形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記切断段階は、カッティング又はパンチング方法で行われることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法によって製造された電極組立体。
- 請求項12に記載の電極組立体を含む二次電池。
- 前記二次電池は、リチウムイオンポリマー二次電池であることを特徴とする請求項13に記載の二次電池。
