Abstract
【解決手段】希土類ホウ酸塩平均寸法が100〜400nmの範囲であり、分散指数が最大0.7である実質的に単結晶の粒子の液相懸濁液。希土類ホウ酸塩を構成する希土類がY、Gd、La、Lu及びScを含み、ドーパントとしてSb、Bi及び前記希土類以外の希土類から選択される元素を含む懸濁液。前記ホウ酸塩は、希土類のホウ炭酸塩又はヒドロキシホウ炭酸塩を、ホウ酸塩を生成させ且つ比表面積が少なくとも3m2/gである生成物を得るのに充分な温度で焼成し、この焼成から得られた生成物を湿式粉砕する製造方法。発光体として、特に発光性透明材料の製造に、用いることができる希土類ホウ酸塩の製造方法。

Description
・希土類のホウ炭酸塩(borocarbonate)又はヒドロキシホウ炭酸塩を、ホウ酸塩を生成させ且つ少なくとも3m2/gの比表面積を有する生成物を得るのに充分高い温度において焼成する工程;及び
・前記焼成から得られた生成物の湿式粉砕を実施する工程:
を含むことを特徴とする前記方法にも関する。
[ドーパント]/[ΣLn]
の比として最大50モル%である。ここで、ΣLnはホウ酸塩中の希土類とドーパントとの合計を表わす。
σ/m=(d84−d16)/2d50
の比を意味するものとする。ここで、
・d84は、粒子の84%がこのd84値より小さい直径を有することとなる粒子直径値であり;
・d16は、粒子の16%がこのd16値より小さい直径を有することとなる粒子直径値であり;そして
・d50は粒子の平均直径である。
・ホウ酸と希土類塩とを混合する工程:
・こうして得られた混合物を炭酸塩又は重炭酸塩と反応させる工程;及び
・こうして得られた沈殿を回収する工程:
を含む。

Claims (5)
- 液体中の希土類ホウ酸塩の単結晶粒子の懸濁液であって、
前記粒子が100〜400nmの範囲の平均寸法を有すること及び分散指数が最大0.7であることを特徴とする、前記懸濁液。 - 前記希土類ホウ酸塩を構成する希土類がイットリウム、ガドリニウム、ランタン、ルテチウム及びスカンジウムを含む群に属することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の懸濁液。
- 前記ホウ酸塩がドーパントとしてアンチモン、ビスマス及び前記ホウ酸塩を構成する希土類以外の希土類から選択される少なくとも1種の元素を追加的に含むことを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の懸濁液。
- 前記ホウ酸塩のドーパント元素含有量が最大50モル%であることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の懸濁液。
- 該懸濁液の濃度が10g/L〜200g/Lの範囲であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の懸濁液。
