- バックライトを用意する工程と、
液晶表示パネルを用意する工程と、
前記バックライトと前記液晶表示パネルを接着層により接着する接着工程と、
を備え、
前記液晶表示パネルは、
表示領域と非表示領域を有する第1の基板と、
前記第1の基板に対向する第2の基板と、
前記第1の基板の上面に貼りあわされた上偏光板と、
前記第2の基板の下面に貼りあわされた、前記第2の基板よりも平面視形状の大きい下偏光板と、
を有し、
前記下偏光板の外縁は、前記第2の基板の外縁よりも外側に位置し、
前記第1の基板の前記非表示領域には、
光不透過膜と、
前記光不透過膜と赤外線の透過率または反射率の異なるアライメントマーク部と、
が形成され、
前記接着工程が、
前記バックライトに、平面視で前記第2の基板の外縁よりも外側の領域に少なくとも一部が重なるように前記接着層を配置する工程と、
前記液晶表示パネルに赤外線を照射することにより前記アライメントマーク部を視認して前記液晶表示パネルの位置合わせを行う工程と、
を有することを特徴とする液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法であって、
前記液晶表示パネルが、
前記第1の基板の前記表示領域に、着色膜を有するカラーフィルタを有し、
前記アライメントマーク部は、前記光不透過膜の一部が除去されてなるアライメントマーク開口内に前記着色膜が成膜されることにより形成されている、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - 請求項1または請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法であって、
平面視で、前記アライメントマーク部の内側に前記アライメントマーク部と赤外線の透過率または反射率の異なる第2のアライメントマーク部が形成されている、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置の製造方法。 - バックライトと、
前記バックライトの上方に接着層により接着された液晶表示パネルと、
を備え、
前記液晶表示パネルは、
表示領域と非表示領域を有する第1の基板と、
前記第1の基板に対向する、前記第1の基板との間に液晶を挟むための第2の基板と、
前記第1の基板の上面に貼りあわされた上偏光板と、
前記第2の基板の下面に貼りあわされた、前記第2の基板よりも平面視形状の大きい下偏光板と、を有し、
前記下偏光板の外縁は、前記第2の基板の外縁よりも外側に位置し
前記接着層は、平面視で前記第2の基板の外縁よりも外側の領域に少なくとも一部が重なるように配置されている、
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置において、
前記第1の基板の前記非表示領域に、
光不透過膜と、
前記光不透過膜と赤外線の透過率または反射率の異なるアライメントマーク部と、
が形成されている、ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
