Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明による液晶表示装置は、行方向に配列された複数のゲートラインと、列方向に配列された複数のデータラインと、前記ゲートライン及び前記データラインにそれぞれ接続され、行に沿って連続して配列されている8つの副画素を含む基本単位が行列方向に配列されている複数の副画素とを含む。前記基本単位で、行に沿って一番目の副画素から四番目の副画素までは隣接副画素間で極性が反対であり、五番目の副画素から八番目の副画素までも隣接副画素間で極性が反対であるが、前記四番目の副画素と前記五番目の副画素の極性は互いに同一である。

Claims (10)
- 行方向に配列された複数のゲートラインと、
列方向に配列された複数のデータラインと、
前記ゲートライン及び前記データラインにそれぞれ接続され、行に沿って連続して配列されている8つの副画素を含む基本単位が行列方向に配列されている複数の副画素とを含み、
前記基本単位で、行に沿って一番目の副画素から四番目の副画素までは隣接副画素に印加される電圧の極性が反対であり、五番目の副画素から八番目の副画素までも隣接副画素に印加される電圧の極性が反対であるが、前記四番目の副画素と前記五番目の副画素に印加される電圧の極性は同一であることを特徴とする液晶表示装置。 - 前記複数の副画素に印加される電圧の極性が列方向に同一であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- それぞれのデータラインは自分の左側及び右側のうちのいずれか一方に位置した副画素にのみ接続されていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 偶数個の副画素が1つの画素をなすことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 4つの副画素が1つの画素をなすことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 特定の順序で配列された4つの色をそれぞれ表示する4つの副画素が行列方向に繰り返されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 列方向の3つの副画素ごとに、副画素に印加される電圧の極性が反転することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液晶表示装置。
- それぞれのデータラインは自分の左側及び右側のうちのいずれか一方に位置した副画素にのみ接続されていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 偶数個の副画素が1つの画素をなすことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の液晶表示装置。
- 4つの副画素が1つの画素をなすことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の液晶表示装置。
