Abstract
Description
第1基板と第2基板との間に液晶層を保持した表示パネルと、前記表示パネルの前記第2基板側に位置するカバー部材と、前記第1基板の外面側に位置する第1光学素子と、前記第2基板と前記カバー部材との間に位置し、前記カバー部材の内面に接着されるとともに前記第2基板に接着されていない第2光学素子と、を備えた表示装置が提供される。
表示パネルと、前記表示パネルの前面側に位置するカバー部材と、前記表示パネルと前記カバー部材との間に位置し、前記カバー部材の内面に接着されるとともに前記表示パネルに接着されず、前記表示パネルの外形寸法よりも大きく、前記表示パネルの全面に亘って対向する光学素子と、を備えた表示装置が提供される。
表示パネルを用意し、カバー部材の一方の主面に光学素子を接着し、前記表示パネルの外形寸法よりも大きなサイズを有するように、前記カバー部材及び前記光学素子を一括して割断し、前記表示パネルをケースに収容し、前記光学素子を前記表示パネルに接着することなく、前記光学素子が前記表示パネルの全面に亘って対向するように、前記光学素子又は前記カバー部材を前記ケースに固定する、表示装置の製造方法が提供される。
カバー部材の一方の主面に光学素子を接着し、
表示パネルの外形寸法よりも大きなサイズを有するように、前記カバー部材及び前記光学素子を一括して割断し、
前記表示パネルをケースに収容し、
前記光学素子を前記表示パネルに接着することなく、前記光学素子が前記表示パネルの全面に亘って対向するように、前記光学素子又は前記カバー部材を前記ケースに固定する、表示装置の製造方法。

Claims (10)
- 第1基板と第2基板との間に液晶層を保持した表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルの前記第2基板側に位置するカバー部材と、
前記第1基板の外面側に位置する第1光学素子と、
前記第2基板と前記カバー部材との間に位置し、前記カバー部材の内面に接着されるとともに前記第2基板に接着されていない第2光学素子と、
を備えた表示装置。 - 前記第2光学素子は、前記表示パネルの外形寸法よりも大きく、前記表示パネルの全面に亘って対向する、請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記カバー部材は第1外縁を有し、前記第2光学素子は前記第1外縁と重なる第2外縁を有する、請求項2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1光学素子及び前記第2光学素子はいずれも偏光板を含み、前記第1光学素子及び前記第2光学素子の少なくとも一方は位相差板を含む、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- さらに、前記表示パネルを収容するとともに前記第2光学素子又は前記カバー部材を固定するケースを備えた、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- さらに、前記表示パネルの背面側に位置するバックライトユニットを備えた、請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- さらに、前記カバー部材の外面において物体を検出するセンシング素子を備えた、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第2光学素子は、前記第2基板から離間している、請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第2光学素子は、前記第2基板に接触している、請求項1乃至7のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 表示パネルと、
前記表示パネルの前面側に位置するカバー部材と、
前記表示パネルと前記カバー部材との間に位置し、前記カバー部材の内面に接着されるとともに前記表示パネルに接着されず、前記表示パネルの外形寸法よりも大きく、前記表示パネルの全面に亘って対向する光学素子と、
を備えた表示装置。
