Claims (5)
- 外周縁に第1の辺とこの対辺の第2の辺とを有するセパレータを間に挟んで正極及び負極を交互に積層したコアを備える二次電池であって、
前記正極は、前記セパレータの有する前記第1の辺よりも突出する正極リードを具備する正極集電体と、前記セパレータの外周縁よりも内側の範囲の前記正極集電体の両面を覆う正極活物質と、前記正極活物質の縁から離れて少なくとも前記セパレータの外周縁までの間の前記正極リードの両面に形成される絶縁部と、を有し、
前記負極は、前記セパレータの有する前記第2の辺よりも突出する負極リードを具備する負極集電体と、前記セパレータの外周縁よりも内側で前記正極活物質が形成された範囲よりも広い範囲の前記負極集電体の両面を覆う負極活物質と、を有し、
前記絶縁部は、前記コアが形成された状態で、前記負極の端部を覆うように、積層方向に前記負極の両側に配置される前記セパレータの前記第1の辺を閉じる
ことを特徴とする二次電池。 - 前記絶縁部は、前記負極活物質が形成された範囲よりも内側から少なくとも前記セパレータの前記外周縁までの範囲に形成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池。 - 前記絶縁部は、電解液が浸透可能な空孔を多数含む部材で形成される
ことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の二次電池。 - 前記絶縁部は、前記正極リードを覆って形成され電解液を通さない中実な第1の絶縁層と、前記第1の絶縁層を覆って形成され電解液が浸透可能な空孔を多数含む第2の絶縁層と、を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の二次電池。 - 前記絶縁部の厚みは、前記セパレータの外周縁の位置で、前記正極の片側に形成された正極活物質の厚み、及び、前記負極の片側に形成された負極活物質の厚みをそれぞれ足し合わせた厚みに形成され、
前記第1の絶縁層は、前記正極活物質の厚みよりも薄い
ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の二次電池。
