Abstract
【解決手段】底面と、底面の一対の長辺から底面に略直交した方向に延びた一対の主面と、主面間に延びた一対の側面とを含む容器本体1aと、底面と対向するとともに電極端子PT、MTが設けられた蓋体1bと、を備えた2次電池セルBTと、複数の2次電池セルBTが収容されるケース10、20と、電池セルBTの電極端子PT、MT間を電気的に接続した複数の導電部材BBと、ケース10、20上に導電部材BBの上部に配置された回路基板30と、を備え、複数の2次電池セルBTは、第1方向D1に沿って積層した複数の2次電池セルを含む第1セル群と、前記第1方向と交差する第2方向に沿って積層した複数の2次電池セルBTを含む第2セル群とを備え、第1セル群の2次電池セルBTの側面と第2セル群の2次電池セルBTの主面とが対向するように配置されて、直列に接続されていることを特徴とする。

図1は、第1実施形態に係る電池モジュールの一構成例を説明するための分解斜視図である。
カバー40は、第2ケース20の上部の開口を覆うように、第2ケース20にねじ止め固定される。
図4は、本実施形態の電池モジュールの第1ケースに複数の2次電池セルを収容した状態の一例を上方から見た平面図である。
Claims (4)
- 底面と、前記底面の一対の長辺から前記底面に略直交した方向に延びた一対の主面と、前記主面間に延びた一対の側面とを含む容器本体と、前記底面と対向するとともに電極端子が設けられた蓋体と、を備えた2次電池セルと、
複数の前記2次電池セルが収容されるケースと、
前記電池セルの電極端子間を電気的に接続した複数の導電部材と、
前記ケース上に前記導電部材の上部に配置された回路基板と、を備え、
複数の前記2次電池セルは、第1方向に沿って積層した複数の2次電池セルを含む第1セル群と、前記第1方向と交差する第2方向に沿って積層した複数の2次電池セルを含む第2セル群とを備え、前記第1セル群の2次電池セルの側面と前記第2セル群の2次電池セルの主面とが対向するように配置されて、直列に接続されていることを特徴とする電池モジュール。 - 前記2次電池セルが積層する方向において、前記2次電池セルの幅と隣り合う2次電池セル間の幅との和と、2次電池セルの主面の長手方向の幅との比は、略1:5であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電池モジュール。
- 前記ケースは、複数の前記2次電池セルの底面と対向した底壁と、前記底壁の端縁から前記第1セル群に含まれる2次電池セルの前記主面と対向するように延びた第1側壁および前記底壁の端縁から前記第2セル群に含まれる2次電池セルの前記主面と対向するように延びた第2側壁を含む側壁と、前記底壁に立設された複数の仕切り壁と、を有する第1ケースを含み、
前記第1ケースは、前記仕切り壁および前記側壁により囲まれるとともに前記2次電池セルの底部を保持する凹部と、前記仕切り壁および前記側壁により囲まれたスペースと、を備えることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載の電池モジュール。 - 前記スペースに配置された電流保護素子あるいは加熱保護素子と、前記回路基板に搭載されたスイッチング素子と、を更に備え、
複数の前記2次電池セルの最も低電位側の電極端子は、前記スイッチング素子を介して前記電流保護素子あるいは前記加熱保護素子と電気的に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項3記載の電池モジュール。
