Claims (28)
- 自閉症または一以上の自閉症スペクトラム障害を処置する方法であって、
自閉症または一以上の自閉症スペクトラム障害と判断される対象体に対し、対象体の少なくとも一つの細胞において一般的細胞ストレス反応を誘導する化合物が含有される組成物の有効量を投与すること、および
対象体の細胞が、化合物を投与されるのに先立ち細胞において存在した状態と実質同等の恒常性に戻ることができるようにすること
が含まれる、方法。 - 対象体の少なくとも一つの細胞において、ストレスプロテオームが刺激される、請求項1の方法。
- 対象体の少なくとも一つの細胞において、増加した亜酸化窒素産生が測定される、請求項1の方法。
- 対象体の少なくとも一つの細胞において、ストレス感知オルガネラが組成物の投与の前の量より増加する、請求項1の方法。
- ストレス感知オルガネラはミトロコンドリアである、請求項4の方法。
- ストレス感知オルガネラはペルオキシソームである、請求項4の方法。
- 一般的細胞ストレス反応には、ミトコンドリアバイオジェネシス、ペルオキシソーム増殖、ストレスプロテオームの活性化や、遺伝子、および熱ショックおよびアンフォールデッドタンパク質が包含される遺伝子、およびオートファジー反応のための遺伝子、抗酸化反応のための遺伝子、およびc-jun-N-末端キナーゼ経路のための遺伝子によってコードされるタンパク質の転写および/または翻訳のうちの少なくとも一つを含む、請求項1の方法。
- 熱ショックタンパク質のための遺伝子には、熱ショックタンパク質40、70、および/または90ファミリーのメンバーが含まれる、請求項7の方法。
- アンフォールデッドタンパク質遺伝子には、グルコース調節タンパク質78(BIP)、プロテインキナーゼRNA-様小胞体キナーゼ(PERK)、イノシトール要求性1(IRE1)および活性化転写因子6が含まれる、請求項7の方法。

- 組成物の有効量の投与は、個員の少なくとも一つの細胞における一般的細胞ストレス反応を誘導する、請求項19の方法。
- 組成物の有効量の投与は、行動症状の測定可能な効果を調節する、請求項19の方法。
- 自閉症または一以上の自閉症関連障害の処置における化合物の有効性を定める方法であって、
第一細胞をテスト化合物の有効量と接触させること、
第一細胞の反応を、細胞において一般化されたストレス反応を誘導することが知られる化合物と接触させた第二の、随意に同一の細胞の反応と比較すること、および
テスト化合物が細胞において一般的細胞ストレス反応を誘導するかどうかを定めること
