Abstract
Description
織布構造からなるPETを使用して、厚さが0.4mmであり、図4に示すように、横6mm、縦2.5mmの四角形状の開口が一側に穿孔されており、直径が10〜30μmである多数の微細気孔が約10〜30μmの間隔で全面に形成されている絶縁部材を製造した。その後、センターピンによって正極/分離膜/負極が巻き取られている構造のゼリーロールの上端に上記絶縁部材を搭載し、電池の組立過程で一般的に発生する微細金属粉末を上記絶縁部材上に位置させた状態で、18650規格(直径18mm、長さ65mm)の円筒形二次電池を作製した。
直径が100μmである多数の微細気孔が約120μmの間隔で全面に形成されている絶縁部材を準備したこと以外は、上記実施例1と同様の方法で絶縁部材及び二次電池をそれぞれ作製した。
図2に示すように、多数の微細気孔を含んでいないこと以外は、上記実施例1と同様の方法で絶縁部材及び二次電池を作製した。
図3に示すように、多数の微細気孔の代わりに、直径が2.5mmである3個の貫通口が形成されたこと以外は、上記実施例1と同様の方法で絶縁部材及び二次電池をそれぞれ作製した。
直径が150μmである多数の微細気孔が約120μmの間隔で全面に形成されている絶縁部材を準備したこと以外は、上記実施例1と同様の方法で絶縁部材及び二次電池をそれぞれ作製した。
上記実施例1及び2と比較例1乃至3でそれぞれ作製された二次電池に対する電解液含浸実験を実施し、その結果を下記の表1に示した。電解液含浸実験は、1MのLiPF6のカーボネート系電解液を、上記で作製された円筒形の電池ケースに注入した後、ゼリーロールの含浸率が100%になるのにかかる時間を測定し、このような過程を4回繰り返して平均値を得た。
Claims (12)
- 正極/分離膜/負極構造のゼリーロールが円筒形の電池ケースに装着されている構造の二次電池であって、前記ゼリーロールの上端に搭載される板状構造の絶縁部材は、繊維の織布または編物構造からなっていることを特徴とする、二次電池。
- 前記繊維は、合成繊維及び/または天然繊維からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記織布または編物構造に形成されている微細気孔は、電解液は通過するが、100μm以上の大きさの異物は通過できない大きさを有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記微細気孔の直径は、1μm〜100μmの範囲にあることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記微細気孔は、上下方向に均一な直径を有する貫通口形状からなることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記微細気孔は、上下方向に不均一な直径を有する連通口形状からなることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の二次電池。
- 前記絶縁部材は、織布または編物構造の単層または多層構造からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記絶縁部材の厚さは、0.1mm〜0.5mmの大きさであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池はリチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 前記電池は、ガス排出及び電極端子の貫通のために絶縁部材上に穿孔されている開口を含んでいることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の二次電池。
- 請求項1ないし10のいずれか1項に係る二次電池を電源として含むことを特徴とする、デバイス。
- 前記デバイスは、携帯電話、携帯用コンピュータ、LEV(Light Electronic Vehicle)、電気自動車、ハイブリッド電気自動車、プラグインハイブリッド電気自動車、及び電力貯蔵装置から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項11に記載のデバイス。
