を備え、ハウジングは、無接点スイッチ、キャップ、および無接点スイッチを起動するように構成されたスイッチ・アクチュエータを含み、スイッチは、第1の電気回路が電池に接続されたオン状態と、第1の電気回路の少なくとも一部が電池から切断されたオフ状態との間で動作可能である手持ち式薬剤送達デバイスが提供される。
スイッチおよびアクチュエータが近接したとき、ハウジング・キャップ内のアクチュエータによって、ハウジング内の無接点スイッチを作動させ、スイッチの作動によって、キャップがハウジング上にあることをマイクロプロセッサに信号で知らせるステップ、
マイクロプロセッサによってデバイスの状態を検出するステップ、ならびに
マイクロプロセッサが、デバイスが作動していないと判断した場合のみ、デバイスの電源を切るステップ
を含む、手持ち式薬剤送達デバイスにおける電力を制御する方法にある。
一実施形態では、薬学的に活性な化合物が、1500Daまでの分子量を有し、かつ/またはペプチド、タンパク質、多糖、ワクチン、DNA、RNA、酵素、抗体もしくはそのフラグメント、ホルモンもしくはオリゴヌクレオチド、もしくは上記の薬学的に活性な化合物の混合物であり、
他の実施形態では、薬学的に活性な化合物が、糖尿病、または糖尿病性網膜症などの糖尿病に関連する合併症、深部静脈もしくは肺血栓塞栓症などの血栓塞栓症、急性冠症候群(ACS)、狭心症、心筋梗塞、癌、黄斑変性、炎症、枯草熱、アテローム性動脈硬化症および/または関節リウマチの治療および/または予防に有用であり、
他の実施形態では、薬学的に活性な化合物が、糖尿病、または糖尿病性網膜症のような糖尿病に関連した合併症を治療および/または予防するための少なくとも1種類のペプチドを含み、
他の実施形態では、薬学的に活性な化合物が、少なくとも1種類のヒトインスリンもしくはヒトインスリン類似体もしくは誘導体、グルカゴン様ペプチド(GLP−1)もしくはGLP−1類似体もしくは誘導体、またはエキセンジン−3もしくはエキセンジン−4、もしくはエキセンジン−3もしくはエキセンジン−4の類似体もしくは誘導体を含む。

Claims (15)
- 第1の電気回路および電池を含むハウジングと、
薬剤送達機構と、
ハウジングに解放可能に固定することができる保護キャップと
を備え、ハウジングは、無接点スイッチ、キャップ、および無接点スイッチを起動するように構成されたスイッチ・アクチュエータを含み、スイッチは、第1の電気回路が電池に接続されたオン状態と、第1の電気回路の少なくとも一部が電池から切断されたオフ状態との間で動作可能である手持ち式薬剤送達デバイス。 - スイッチはリード・スイッチであり、スイッチ・アクチュエータは磁石である請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- スイッチは、光スイッチ、ホール・センサ・スイッチ、容量センサ・スイッチ、超音波センサ・スイッチまたは誘導スイッチである請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- リード・スイッチの接点は、作動時に開くように常時閉である請求項2に記載のデバイス。
- マイクロプロセッサおよび/または第2の電気回路をさらに備える請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のデバイス。
- スイッチは、スイッチ・アクチュエータに近接したとき、第1の電気回路を電池から切断し、スイッチ・アクチュエータがスイッチ・アクチュエータに近接していないとき、第1の電気回路を電池に接続するように構成される請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載のデバイス。
- スイッチの作動は、マイクロプロセッサおよび/または第2の電気回路に信号で知らされ、マイクロプロセッサおよび/または第2の電気回路の制御下にある第1の電気回路に電力を供給するように構成される請求項5に記載のデバイス。
- マイクロプロセッサおよび/または第2の電気回路は、スイッチ・アクチュエータが無接点スイッチを作動させた後、可変の遅延で第1の電気回路の少なくとも一部を切断するように構成される請求項6に記載のデバイス。
- キャップをハウジングに固定することができる構成が1つしかないように、キャップおよびハウジングは非対称である請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載のデバイス。
- キャップは、ハウジングとの押込み嵌め/摩擦嵌めもしくはスナップ嵌めのものであるか、またはハウジングおよびキャップはラッチ機構を含む請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載のデバイス。
- グラフィック・ディスプレイ、および/またはデバイスをプログラムするためのユーザ・インターフェースをさらに備える請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載のデバイス。
- 薬剤送達機構は電気機械的である請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載のデバイス。
- 有針注射器であり、ハウジングは、針を連結するための取付位置を含む請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載のデバイス。
- 手持ち式薬剤送達デバイスにおける電力を制御する方法であって、
スイッチおよびアクチュエータが近接したとき、ハウジング・キャップ内のアクチュエータによって、ハウジング内の無接点スイッチを作動させ、スイッチの作動によって、キャップがハウジング上にあることをマイクロプロセッサに信号で知らせるステップ、
マイクロプロセッサによってデバイスの状態を検出するステップ、ならびに
マイクロプロセッサが、該デバイスが作動していないと判断した場合のみ、該デバイスの電源を切るステップ
を含む、上記方法。 - デバイスは、マイクロプロセッサが主要な電気回路の電源を切り、一方において、電力が第2の補助回路に対して維持されるように構成される請求項14に記載の方法。
