Description

Claims (24)
- 繊維を製造する方法であって、
繊維製造装置の1つ又はそれ以上の開口を有するボディ内に1つ又はそれ以上のフルオロポリマーを含む組成物を配置するステップと、
前記繊維製造装置を少なくとも約500rpmの速度で回転させ、該繊維製造装置の回転により、前記ボディ内の前記組成物が前記1つ又はそれ以上の開口を通過して、前記フルオロポリマーの1つ又はそれ以上を含むマイクロ繊維及び/又はナノ繊維を生成するようにするステップと、
前記生成されたマイクロ繊維及び/又はナノ繊維の少なくとも一部分を収集するステップと、
を含む、ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記マイクロ繊維及び/又はナノ繊維は、それらの作成中、該繊維を外部から印加された電界に曝さずに作成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ又はそれ以上のフルオロポリマーを溶媒と混合して、前記組成物を前記溶媒中の前記1つ又はそれ以上のフルオロポリマーの混合物として生成するステップと、前記組成物を前記繊維製造装置内に配置するステップと、をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維製造装置は、少なくとも2つの対向する開口を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維製造装置は、前記開口の1つ又はそれ以上に結合された1つ又はそれ以上のニードルを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維製造装置を駆動部に結合するステップと、前記駆動部を作動させるステップとをさらに含み、前記駆動部は、前記繊維製造装置を回転させることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維製造装置をチャンバ内に配置するステップと、前記チャンバ内の環境を制御するステップとをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維製造装置の少なくとも一部分を囲む収集装置上に繊維を集めるステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 中間壁が、前記収集装置を少なくとも部分的に囲み、前記中間壁は、前記収集装置を上回る高さを有することを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維製造装置の少なくとも一部分を囲む1つ又はそれ以上の収集ロッドの上に繊維を集めるステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記フルオロポリマーの1つ又はそれ以上は、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンポリマーを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記フルオロポリマーの1つ又はそれ以上は、フッ素化溶媒中に溶解されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記繊維は、室温で製造されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物は、本質的に溶媒中の1つ又はそれ以上のフルオロポリマーからなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物は、溶媒中の1つ又はそれ以上のフルオロポリマーからなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜請求項15のいずれか1項に記載の方法を用いて製造されたことを特徴とする繊維。
- 前記繊維は、150°より大きい水接触角を示すことを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の繊維。
- 前記繊維は、10°より小さい接触角ヒステリシスを示すことを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の繊維。
- フルオロポリマーのナノ繊維及び/又はマイクロ繊維を用いて作られた布地であって、前記フルオロポリマーのナノ繊維及び/又はマイクロ繊維は、請求項1〜請求項15のいずれか1項に記載の方法を用いて調製されたことを特徴とする布地。
- 前記布地は、150°より大きい水接触角を示すことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の繊維。
- 前記布は、10°より小さい接触角ヒステリシスを示すことを特徴とする、請求項19に記載の繊維。
- ボディと2つ又はそれ以上のシリンジ連結部とを備え、前記シリンジ連結部は、取り外し可能にニードルに結合するコネクタを含むことを特徴とする、繊維製造装置。
- 前記繊維製造装置は、前記ボディの対向する側部に2つのシリンジ連結部を含むことを特徴とする、請求項22に記載の繊維製造装置。
- 前記ボディは、実質的に円筒形であり、前記シリンジ連結部は、前記ボディの周りに実質的に均等に配置されることを特徴とする、請求項22に記載の繊維製造装置。
