Abstract
【解決手段】金属製の胴体2の上部2aに蓋体4を溶接することによって当該胴体2における引張残留応力が生じた範囲に圧縮応力を付与して、応力腐食割れを防止する貯蔵用キャニスター1の応力腐食割れ防止方法である。蓋体4の溶接によって引張残留応力の発生が予定される胴体2の範囲Lに予め第1の圧縮応力を付与し、当該範囲Lに圧縮残留応力が生じている状態で蓋体4を溶接することで引張残留応力をキャンセルし、その後第2の圧縮応力を付与して当該範囲Lの全域で圧縮残留応力を生じさせる。

Claims (6)
- 金属製の筒状胴体の上部に蓋体を溶接することによって当該筒状胴体における引張残留応力が生じた範囲に圧縮応力を付与して、応力腐食割れを防止する貯蔵用キャニスターの応力腐食割れ防止方法であって、
前記蓋体の溶接によって前記引張残留応力の発生が予定される前記筒状胴体の範囲に予め第1の圧縮応力を付与し、当該範囲に圧縮残留応力が生じている状態で前記蓋体を溶接することで発生する引張残留応力をキャンセルし、その後第2の圧縮応力を付与して当該範囲の全域で圧縮残留応力を生じさせることを特徴とする貯蔵用キャニスターの応力腐食割れ防止方法。 - 前記第1の圧縮応力を付与する前記筒状胴体の範囲は、当該筒状胴体の上端から軸方向内側へ向かう軸方向範囲であり、この軸方向範囲Lが下記関係式を満たすことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の貯蔵用キャニスターの応力腐食割れ防止方法。
(r:筒状胴体の外半径、t:筒状胴体の厚み) - 前記第1の圧縮応力は、ジルコニアショットピーニング法又はバニシング法によって付与することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の貯蔵用キャニスターの応力腐食割れ防止方法。
- 金属製の筒状胴体の上部に蓋体が溶接されて構成され、核燃料を内蔵した密閉状態でキャスク内に設置される貯蔵用キャニスターであって、
前記蓋体の溶接によって引張残留応力の発生が予定される前記筒状胴体の範囲に予め第1の圧縮応力を付与し、当該範囲に圧縮残留応力が生じている状態で前記蓋体を溶接することで発生する引張残留応力をキャンセルし、その後第2の圧縮応力を付与して当該範囲の全域で圧縮残留応力が生じた状態となっていることを特徴とする貯蔵用キャニスター。 - キャスクと前記筒状胴体間の上開口において、前記第2の圧縮応力を付与し、前記範囲の全域で圧縮残留応力を生じさせることが可能な構成を有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の貯蔵用キャニスター。
- 前記蓋体は、前記筒状胴体の上端に溶接された上蓋とこの上蓋の内部側で当該筒状胴体と溶接された下蓋とからなり、当該下蓋の溶接位置が当該筒状胴体の上端から上記関係式の右辺で表されるL最小値までの軸方向範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の貯蔵用キャニスター。
