Abstract
【解決手段】周側面に少なくとも1回転するネジ山基部23が形成されたネジ基部21を有する実質部5と、ネジ基部21の少なくとも谷底25に実質部5と同じ生体適合性ポリマーで一体的に形成された表面多孔層6とを備え、谷底25に形成された前記表面多孔層6は、少なくともその一部が50〜500μmの厚さを有し、この谷底25に隣接するネジ山基部23に対して200〜800μmの高度差を有している生体骨固定用ネジ1。

Description
ポリエーテルエーテルケトン(ガラス転移温度143℃、融点340℃、弾性率4.2GPa、曲げ強度170MPa)で形成された中実な丸棒(直径10mm、長さ100mm、Victrex製450G)を適宜カットして、旋盤にて下記寸法のネジ形状に加工した後、純水中に浸漬させて超音波照射して洗浄し、成形体を準備した。

表面多孔層6aの表面と、隣接するネジ山基部23の高さの高度差:平均で796μm。
Ca/P比が1.67となる配合量のリン酸水素カルシウム二水和物(関東化学株式会社製)と炭酸カルシウム(キシダ化学株式会社製)とを、ポットを用い水中で粉砕混合した後、900℃で仮焼して水酸アパタイト粒子(粒子形状:球状、粒子径0.05〜0.5μm)を得た(メカノケミカル合成法)。得られた水酸アパタイト粒子3.0gをエタノール200mLに投入して、周波数20kHzで出力200Wの超音波ホモジナイザーで10分処理して、水酸アパタイトのエタノール懸濁液を調製した。
実施例1−2で製造した生体骨固定用ネジ1を用いたこと以外は実施例2−1と基本的に同様にして生体骨固定用ネジ2を製造した。
実施例1−3で製造した生体骨固定用ネジ1を用いたこと以外は実施例2−1と基本的に同様にして生体骨固定用ネジ2を製造した。
実施例1−4で製造した生体骨固定用ネジ1を用いたこと以外は実施例2−1と基本的に同様にして生体骨固定用ネジ2を製造した。
インプラント実習用模型(T6-X.1143F、ニッシン製)を用いて作成した疑似骨モデルに内径3.6mmの下穴を設け、この下穴に実施例2−1〜2−4で製造した生体骨固定用ネジ2をねじ込んだ。このときの生体骨固定用ネジ2の埋入性を、生体骨固定用ネジ2をねじ込むときのトルク、生体骨固定用ネジ2及び疑似骨モデルの損傷具合に基づいて、評価した。評価基準は、ねじ込む時の最大トルクをトルクゲージにて測定した値が45cN・m以下であれば、埋入性良好とした。結果を表1に示す。
埋入性評価と同様にして疑似骨モデルに埋植した生体骨固定用ネジ2の固定状態を、螺合状態及び下穴に対するフィッティング性に基づいて、下記基準に従って評価した。評価基準は、締付トルクを30cN・mで実施例2−1〜2−4で製造した生体骨固定用ネジ2を下穴に埋入後、手で動揺の有無を確認し、動揺がなければ、初期固定性良好とした。その結果、いずれの生体骨固定用ネジ2も初期固定性が良好であった。
埋入性評価と同様にして疑似骨モデルに埋植した実施例2−1で製造した生体骨固定用ネジ2を取り出してネジ山基部23に配置された表面多孔層6bの状態を走査型電子顕微鏡で観察した結果を図9(a)(倍率50倍)及び図9(b)(倍率10000倍)に示す。図9(b)において生体活性物質は白色粒子状に現れている。図9から、表面多孔層6bは下穴に埋植されたときに一部が圧縮され、多孔構造の一部が破壊されていたものの、表面多孔層6bは剥離がなく残存しており、残存した表面多孔層6bに生体活性物質は依然として担持されていたことが確認できた。また、谷底25に形成された表面多孔層6aで多孔構造が維持されていることが確認できた。実施例2−2〜2−4についても同様の結果が得られた。
表面多孔層の状態確認において、表面多孔層6bは下穴に埋植されたときに一部が圧縮され、多孔構造の一部が破壊されていたものの、表面多孔層6bは剥離がなく残存しており、残存した表面多孔層6bに生体活性物質は依然として担持されていたことが確認できた。また、谷底25に形成された表面多孔層6aで多孔構造が維持されていることが確認できたことにより、緩衝機能、固定状態の保持性も、当然に発揮すると判断した。

Claims (8)
- 周側面に少なくとも1回転するネジ山基部が形成されたネジ基部を有する実質部と、前記ネジ基部の少なくとも谷底に前記実質部と同じ生体適合性ポリマーで一体的に形成された表面多孔層とを備え、
前記谷底に形成された前記表面多孔層は、少なくともその一部が50〜500μmの厚さを有し、この谷底に隣接する前記ネジ山基部に対して200〜800μmの高度差を有している生体骨固定用ネジ。 - 前記表面多孔層は、ネジ山基部の表面及び前記谷底に形成されている請求項1に記載の生体骨固定用ネジ。
- 前記谷底は、平坦な底面又は曲面を有している請求項1又は2に記載の生体骨固定用ネジ。
- 前記生体適合性ポリマーは、ポリエーテルエーテルケトンである請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の生体骨固定用ネジ。
