Abstract
【解決手段】画像形成装置に用いられる無端ベルト状の導電性エンドレスベルトである。ベルト本体が、硫黄含有熱可塑性樹脂100質量部に対し、ファーネスカーボンブラックを20〜40質量部にて含有する。

Description
導電性エンドレスベルトには、一般に、ジョイントありのものとジョイントなしのもの(いわゆるシームレスベルト)とがあるが、本発明においてはいずれのものであってもよく、好ましくはシームレスベルトである。本発明の導電性エンドレスベルトは、前述したように、タンデム方式および中間転写方式の転写部材等として用いることができるものである。
(上記式(2)中、R1はメチル基またはブチル基であり、R2は前記式(1)で示される官能基である)で示される構造を有する)である。
下記の表中に示す配合に従い、各実施例および比較例の導電性エンドレスベルトを作製した。具体的には、下記表中に示すベルトの各配合成分を二軸混練機により溶融混練して、得られた混練物を環状ダイスを用いて押出し成形することにより、内径230mm、厚さ120μm、幅245mmの寸法を有する導電性エンドレスベルトを作製した。得られた各実施例および比較例のベルトにつき、下記の手順に従い、評価を行った。これらの結果を下記の表中に併せて示す。
温度23℃、相対湿度50%にて、測定装置として、アドバンテスト(ADVANTEST)社製の、抵抗計R8340AにサンプルチャンバーR12704Aを接続したものを用いて、電圧10Vにて測定を行い、周方向に30mmピッチで20箇所測定した値の平均値を求めて、体積抵抗率ρV(10V)(Ω・cm)とした。結果は、桁数にて示した。
温度23℃、相対湿度50%にて、測定装置として三菱化学社製の抵抗計ハイレスタ(プローブUR−100)を用いて、電圧10Vにて測定を行い、印加時間10秒、周方向に30mmピッチで20箇所測定した値の平均値として、表面抵抗率ρS(10V)を求めた。また、表面抵抗率ρSの電圧依存性を評価するために、電圧100Vおよび5000Vにおける表面抵抗率ρS(100V)およびρS(500V)についても、同様にして求めた。結果は、桁数にて示した。なお、表面抵抗率の電圧依存性および抵抗バランスの値は、小さいほど良好である。
各実施例および比較例で得られたベルトを、それぞれ転写ベルトとして市販のプリンタに組み込んで、15℃10%RHの環境下にて50K(5万)枚の画像出しを行い、耐久性を評価した。具体的には、リークなどの局所的な抵抗変動による異常画像の発生の有無を確認して、異常画像が発生しなかった場合を○、発生した場合を×とした。
これらの評価結果を、下記の表中に併せて示す。

Claims (3)
- 画像形成装置に用いられる無端ベルト状の導電性エンドレスベルトにおいて、
ベルト本体が、硫黄含有熱可塑性樹脂100質量部に対し、ファーネスカーボンブラックを20〜40質量部にて含有することを特徴とする導電性エンドレスベルト。 - 前記ファーネスカーボンブラックの、比表面積が10〜70m2/gであって、かつ、DBP給油量が80〜200cm3/100gである請求項1記載の導電性エンドレスベルト。
- 前記硫黄含有熱可塑性樹脂が、ポリフェニレンサルファイドおよびポリスルフォンのうちのいずれか一方または双方である請求項1または2記載の導電性エンドレスベルト。
