Claims (10)
- ガラス基板を成形する方法であって:
略平坦なガラス基板を、平坦な中心部分と、円弧状辺縁部分とを備えた、前記ガラス基板に接触する接触面を有する成形用本体と遮熱板との間に配置する工程と、
前記略平坦なガラス基板を加熱する工程であって、前記加熱中に、前記遮熱板が、前記略平坦なガラス基板の中心部分を遮熱し、かつ前記略平坦なガラス基板の辺縁部分を露出させて、前記辺縁部分のみが前記加熱によって軟化する、前記加熱する工程と、
を含み、
前記加熱により、前記基板の前記中心部分が略平坦なままの状態で、前記辺縁部分が変形し、そして前記成形用本体の辺縁部分と接触するようになる、
方法。 - 前記遮熱板は、前記略平坦なガラス板と前記加熱中に接触する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 更に、成形用部材を前記略平坦なガラス基板の前記辺縁部分に押圧して、前記ガラス基板辺縁部分を前記成形用本体の辺縁部分の形状に沿った形状に変化させる工程を含む、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- 更に、前記ガラス基板辺縁部分を真空吸着して、前記ガラス基板辺縁部分を引き下げることにより前記成形用本体の辺縁部分に押圧する工程を含む、請求項1乃至3の何れか一項に記載の方法。
- ガラス基板を成形する装置であって:
平坦な中心部分と、円弧状辺縁部分と備えた第1表面を含む成形用本体と、
熱源と前記成形用本体との間に配置されて、ガラス基板のうちの前記成形用本体の第1表面で支持される部分を、前記熱源から放出される熱放射から遮蔽する遮熱板と、
を備える、装置。 - 前記成形用本体は、真空源と連通する複数通路を備える、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 更に、前記ガラス基板の辺縁部分を前記成形用本体の前記円弧状辺縁部分に押圧するように構成される成形用部材を備える、請求項5又は請求項6に記載の装置。
- 更に、成形用本体群の間に配置される複数のガラス基板を支持する複数の成形用本体と、相対運動が前記成形用型と前記複数の成形用本体との間で行なわれるときに、接触面が、複数のガラス基板の辺縁部分に順次接触し、そして前記複数のガラス基板の辺縁部分を変形させるように構成される接触面を含む成形用型と、を備えた、請求項5乃至7の何れか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記成形用型は加熱部材を備える、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記接触面は弓形表面である、請求項8又は請求項9に記載の装置。
