TSL=TSP+500℃
ここで、TSPは、
TSP=MOR/{[Emod][CTEH]}
となるような熱衝撃パラメータであり、
Emodは25℃(すなわち、室温(RT))における物品の弾性係数であり、MORは室温における破壊強度係数であり、psi単位で測定され、CTEHは500℃〜900℃の間で測定された高温熱膨張係数である。TSPが増大すると、物品の温度勾配に対する耐性も増大する。MOR、Emod、およびCTEHは、すべて、本明細書では軸方向と称される、チャネルの長さに平行なセル試料上で測定される。MORは、4×1×0.5インチの寸法を有する長方形のセル・バーの軸方向に対し4点曲げ法を使用して測定される。
df=(d50−d10)/d50

Claims (5)
- 微小亀裂条件に曝露する前に、約0.05〜約0.25の微小亀裂パラメータ(Nb3)を有する焼成コージエライト体を備え、
前記微小亀裂条件に曝露後に、前記焼成コージエライト体が、前記微小亀裂条件に曝露する前の微小亀裂パラメータより少なくとも20%を超えて大きい微小亀裂パラメータ(Nb3)を有する、
多孔質セラミックハニカム物品。 - 前記焼成コージエライト体が、さらに、前記微小亀裂条件の前に、約25℃〜約800℃にわたる約7.0×10-7/℃〜約15.0×10-7/℃の熱膨張率(CTE)を有し、前記微小亀裂条件の後に、約25℃〜約800℃にわたる約1.0×10-7/℃〜約10.0×10-7/℃の熱膨張率を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム物品。
- 前記焼成コージエライト体が、さらに、前記微小亀裂条件に曝露する前および後の両方において約0.4以下のdfを有することを特徴とし、df=(d50−d10)/d50である、請求項1記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム物品。
- 前記焼成コージエライト体が、さらに、前記微小亀裂条件に曝露する前および後の両方において約38%〜約45%の表面細孔率を有し、前記微小亀裂条件に曝露する前および後の両方において約0.5を超える表面細孔率/全細孔率の比を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム物品。
- 前記焼成コージエライト体が、さらに、前記微小亀裂条件に曝露後に1000℃を超える熱衝撃限界を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム物品。
