工程80での酸化されたスルホンの除去の後、15ppm以下の硫黄種を保含むことになる、より実際的には10ppm、5ppm、またはそれ以下の硫黄種を保有することにもなる脱硫炭化水素流90が生成される。したがってそのような脱硫炭化水素90は、所望の硫黄分レベルを実現することになり、したがって規制基準に準拠することになる。
Claims (20)
- 硫黄化合物を炭化水素流から除去する方法であって、
a)硫黄化合物を含む炭化水素流を提供する工程と、
b)前記炭化水素流を水素化処理して、前記硫黄化合物の一部を硫化水素に変換し、前記硫化水素を除去する工程と、
c)工程b)で水素化処理された前記炭化水素流を分留して、実質的に全ての硫黄化合物が除去された第1の炭化水素副流と、実質的に全ての残りの硫黄化合物が水素化処理を介して除去されていない第2の炭化水素副流とを発生させる工程と、
d)前記硫黄化合物の大部分をスルホン又はスルホキシドに変換するため、前記第2の炭化水素副流を単離し、その中に含まれる前記硫黄化合物を酸化させる工程と、
e)前記第2の炭化水素副流が15ppm未満の硫黄化合物を保有するように、前記スルホン及び前記スルホキシドを前記第2の炭化水素副流から除去する工程と
からなる方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
前記炭化水素流がディーゼル燃料である方法。 - 請求項2に記載の方法において、
工程c)では、分留工程が、蒸留塔において、工程b)の水素化処理を介して除去されていない第2の炭化水素副流中に残存する残りの硫黄化合物の沸点に相当する温度範囲で行われる方法。 - 請求項2に記載の方法において、
工程c)で、分留工程が、蒸留塔において、293〜382℃(560〜719°F)の温度範囲で行われる方法。 - 請求項4に記載の方法において、
工程c)で、分留工程が、293〜338℃(560〜640°F)の温度範囲で行われる方法。 - 請求項4に記載の方法において、
工程c)で、分留工程が、343〜382℃(650〜719°F)の間の温度範囲で行われる方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
工程b)で硫化水素に変換され硫化水素として除去された前記硫黄化合物が、硫化物、二硫化物、及びメルカプタンからなる群から選択される硫黄化合物からなり、工程d)で酸化されスルホン及びスルホキシドに変換された前記硫黄化合物が、ベンゾチオフェン、ジベンゾチオフェン、ナフトチオフェン、及びこれらのアルキル化誘導体からなる群より選択される硫黄化合物からなる方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
工程e)で、前記スルホン及び前記スルホキシドが、固体床吸収によって除去される方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
工程e)で、前記スルホン及び前記スルホキシドが、溶媒抽出によって除去される方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
工程e)で、前記スルホン及び前記スルホキシドが、低温濾過によって除去される方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
工程e)で、前記スルホン及び前記スルホキシドが、水素化脱硫によって除去される方法。 - 請求項2に記載の方法において、
工程d)で酸化された前記硫黄化合物が、超音波の適用と組み合わせて酸化体を介して酸化される方法。 - 請求項12に記載の方法において、
前記酸化体が過酸化水素である方法。 - 請求項12に記載の方法において、
過酸化水素がディーゼルの2〜3体積%の量で存在し、
前記超音波がディーゼル1リットル当たり少なくとも1kW分の出力で適用される方法。 - 硫黄化合物を炭化水素流から除去する方法であって、
a)硫黄化合物で汚染された炭化水素流を提供する工程と、
b)前記炭化水素流を分留して、硫黄化合物を実質的に含まない第1の炭化水素副流と、実質的に全ての該硫黄化合物を含む第2の炭化水素副流とを発生させる工程と、
c)前記硫黄化合物の大部分がスルホン又はスルホキシドに変換するため、前記第2の炭化水素副流を単離し、その中に含まれる前記硫黄化合物を酸化させる工程と、
d)前記第2の炭化水素副流が15ppm未満の硫黄化合物を保有するように、前記スルホン及び前記スルホキシドを前記第2の炭化水素副流から除去する工程と
からなる方法。 - 請求項15に記載の方法において、
工程d)で、前記スルホン及びスルホキシドが、固体床吸収、溶媒抽出、及び低温濾過からなる群より選択されるプロセスを介して除去される方法。 - 請求項16に記載の方法において、
前記第2の炭化水素副流を超音波の適用と組み合わせて過酸化水素に作用させることにより、工程c)で酸化された前記硫黄化合物が酸化される方法。 - 請求項17に記載の方法において、
過酸化水素がディーゼルの2〜3体積%の量で存在し、
前記超音波がディーゼル1リットル当たり少なくとも1kW分の出力で適用される方法。 - 請求項15に記載の方法において、
工程a)では、前記炭化水素流がディーゼルであり、
工程b)では、分留工程が、硫黄を実質的に含まない第1のディーゼル副流と、実質的に全ての前記硫黄化合物を含む第2のディーゼル副流とを生成するように操作され、
前記第1のディーゼル副流は、工程a)で提供された全ディーゼル流の体積の67〜90%を占め、
前記第2のディーゼル副流は、工程a)で提供された全ディーゼル流の体積の10〜33%を占める方法。 - 請求項16に記載の方法において、
前記スルホン及びスルホキシドの固体床吸収を介した前記除去は、工程c)で生成された前記第2の炭化水素副流を、アルミナをベースにした吸収材を有する吸収塔に通すことからなり、
前記吸収材は、前記スルホン及びスルホキシドを前記炭化水素副流から分離するように操作される方法。
