Claims (20)
- ロールコータを用いて基材をコーティングする方法であって、
コーティングロールの面上に第1のコーティングを均一に適用する工程と、
前記第1のコーティングの上に、1つ以上の別個のストライプで第2のコーティングを適用する工程と、
前記基材上に前記第1のコーティング及び前記第2のコーティングを転写する工程と、を含む、方法。 - 前記ロールコータが、5本ロールコータを備え、前記基材が、W3ロールの少なくとも一部分を包み、かつW3ロールとW2ロールとの間の送給ニップで前記ロールコータに入り、W1ロールがW2ロールで挟持され、W0ロールがW1ロールで挟持され、W00ロールがW0ロールで挟持される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- コーティングロールの面上に前記第1のコーティングを均一に適用する前記工程が、W00ロールとW0ロールとの間の前記送給ニップのコーティング液溜に、第1のコーティング溶液を供給する工程を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のコーティングの上に、1つ以上の別個のストライプで前記第2のコーティングを適用する工程が、少なくとも1つの針管に第2のコーティングを供給する工程と、前記第2のコーティングをW2ロール、W1ロール、又はW0ロールのいずれかの面上に衝突させる工程と、を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 衝突の点での前記針管の長手方向軸と前記ロールの表面に対する接線との間の衝突角度が、約0度〜約60度である、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記第2のコーティングが、前記少なくとも1つの針管から出る、第2のコーティングストリームを備える、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のコーティングの上に、1つ以上の別個のストライプで前記第2のコーティングを適用する工程が、少なくとも1つの針管に第2のコーティングを供給する工程と、前記第2のコーティングを、W2ロールとW1ロールとの間、又はW1ロールとW0ロールとの間の送給ニップに衝突させる工程と、を含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第2のコーティングが、前記少なくとも1つの針管から出る、第2のコーティングストリームを備える、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ以上の別個のストライプの幅が、前記送給ニップを形成する前記ロール間の相対速度を調節することによって変化する、請求項7に記載の方法。
- コーティングロールと、前記コーティングロール上に第1のコーティングを適用するための第1のコーティングアプリケータと、前記第1のコーティングの上に第2のコーティングを適用するための少なくとも1つの針管を備える第2のコーティングアプリケータと、を備える、コーティング装置。
- 5本ロールコータを備える、請求項10に記載のコーティング装置。
- 前記第1のコーティングアプリケータが、2つのコーティングロール間の送給ニップにコーティング液溜を備える、請求項11に記載のコーティング装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの針管が、前記第2のコーティングを送給ニップに適用する、請求項11に記載のコーティング装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つの針管が、前記第2のコーティングをコーティングロールの面に適用する、請求項11に記載のコーティング装置。
- 前記第2のコーティングアプリケータが、多岐管に取り付けられた少なくとも2つの針管を備える、請求項10に記載のコーティング装置。
- 前記多岐管内の圧力が、5psi〜20psi(34.5〜137.9キロパスカル)である、請求項15に記載のコーティング装置。
- 前記針管が、円形断面を有し、前記針管の内径が、10〜100ミル(0.25〜2.54mm)である、請求項10に記載のコーティング装置。
- 前記針管の長さが、2〜8インチ(5.1〜20.3cm)である、請求項17に記載のコーティング装置。
- 前記針管の長さが、2〜8インチ(5.1〜20.3cm)である、請求項10に記載のコーティング装置。
- 前記送給ニップを形成する前記ロールの相対速度を変化させるための速度制御部を備える、請求項13に記載のコーティング装置。
