Abstract
【解決手段】弁開閉時期制御装置10がロック状態にある場合において、進角室Caおよび遅角室Cbにある作動流体によって相対回転位相を所定範囲内に保持する制御が可能な位相保持状態であることを表す位相保持信号をECUが出力したときは、中間ロック機構Lをロック解除状態に切り換え且つ相対回転位相を中間ロック位相Pに保持する。

Description
〔基本構成〕
以下、本発明の第1の実施の形態について、図面を用いて詳細に説明する。図1に、本実施形態に係る弁開閉時期制御装置10の構成を表す縦断面図を示し、図2に、図1のII-II線断面図を示す。図1および図2に示すように、内燃機関としてのエンジンEの吸気バルブ(不図示)の開閉時期を設定する弁開閉時期制御装置10と、エンジンEとを制御するエンジン制御ユニット(ECU)40を備えた内燃機関制御システムが構成されている。ECU40は本発明に係る制御部の一例である。
図1に示すように、弁開閉時期制御装置10は、エンジンEのクランクシャフト1と同期回転する駆動側回転部材としての外部ロータ11と、エンジンEの燃焼室の吸気バルブ(不図示)を開閉するカムシャフト3に連結ボルト13により連結する従動側回転部材としての内部ロータ12とを備えている。内部ロータ12は、カムシャフト3の軸芯Xと同軸芯に配置され、この内部ロータ12と外部ロータ11とは軸芯Xを中心にして相対回転自在に構成されている。
この弁開閉時期制御装置10は、中間ロック機構Lを備えている。中間ロック機構Lは、外部ロータ11と内部ロータ12との相対回転位相を図2に示す中間ロック位相Pにロックし、ロック状態を解除する機能を有する。中間ロック位相Pは、相対回転位相が進角方向Saの作動端となる最進角位相と遅角方向Sbの作動端となる最遅角位相との間の所定位相に設定され、低温状態のエンジンEの始動を良好に行うことができる相対回転位相である。
図2に示すように、作動油を凹部32(第1凹部32aと第2凹部32bの両方)に給排するロック解除油路23が内部ロータ12に形成されている。ロック解除油路23を介して凹部32に作動油の供給および排出が行われる。
図1に示すように、エンジンEには、エンジンEの駆動力でオイルパン1Aの潤滑油を吸引して作動油として送り出す油圧ポンプ20を備えている。本実施形態に係る内燃機関制御システムでは、油圧ポンプ20から吐出された作動油を弁開閉時期制御装置10の進角室Caと遅角室Cbとの一方を選択して供給する電磁操作型の位相制御弁24と、油圧ポンプ20から吐出された作動油をロック解除油路23に供給する電磁操作型の解除制御弁25とを備えている。特に、油圧ポンプ20と、位相制御弁24と、解除制御弁25と、作動油が給排される油路とを併せて弁開閉時期制御装置10の流体制御機構が構成されている。
図1に示すように、ECU40には、シャフトセンサ1Sと、イグニッションスイッチ43と、アクセルペダルセンサ44と、ブレーキペダルセンサ45と、位相検出センサ46と、油温センサ47と、水温センサ48からの信号が入力される。ECU40は、スタータモータMと、燃料制御装置5と、点火制御装置6のそれぞれを制御する信号を出力すると共に、位相制御弁24と解除制御弁25を制御する信号を出力する。
次に、本実施形態に係る内燃機関制御システムの制御形態について説明する。なお、エンジンEの始動から通常運転に至るまでにおける位相制御弁24の制御、解除制御弁25の制御、相対回転位相の変位、中間ロック機構Lの状態のタイムチャートを図4に示す。
次に、本発明の第2実施形態について、図面を用いて詳細に説明する。本実施形態の説明においては、第1実施形態と同じ構成の箇所には同じ符号を付し、同様の構成に関する説明は省略する。

- 内燃機関のクランクシャフトと同期回転する駆動側回転部材と、
前記駆動側回転部材と同軸上に配置され、前記内燃機関の弁開閉用のカムシャフトと同期回転する従動側回転部材と、
前記駆動側回転部材と前記従動側回転部材とで形成される流体圧室と、
前記駆動側回転部材および前記従動側回転部材の少なくとも一方に設けられた仕切部で前記流体圧室を仕切ることにより形成される進角室および遅角室と、
前記駆動側回転部材または前記従動側回転部材のいずれか一方の回転部材に収容され且つ前記駆動側回転部材または前記従動側回転部材のいずれか他方の回転部材に対して出退可能なロック部材と、前記ロック部材が突出したときに嵌合可能となるように前記他方の回転部材に形成された凹部とを有しており、前記ロック部材が突出して前記凹部と嵌合することにより前記駆動側回転部材に対する前記従動側回転部材の相対回転位相が最遅角位相と最進角位相との間の中間ロック位相に拘束されるロック状態と、前記ロック部材が前記凹部から退出することにより前記拘束が解除されるロック解除状態とに切換え可能な中間ロック機構と、
前記進角室への作動流体の給排および前記遅角室への前記作動流体の給排を制御する制御部と、を備え、
前記ロック状態において前記進角室および前記遅角室にある前記作動流体によって前記相対回転位相を所定角度範囲内に保持する制御が可能な位相保持状態であることを表す位相保持信号を前記制御部が出力したときは、前記中間ロック機構を前記ロック解除状態に切り換え且つ前記相対回転位相を前記中間ロック位相に保持する弁開閉時期制御装置。 - 前記制御部は、前記作動流体の温度が所定温度以上になったときに、前記位相保持信号を出力する請求項1に記載の弁開閉時期制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記内燃機関を冷却する冷却水の温度が所定温度以上になったときに、前記位相保持信号を出力する請求項1または2に記載の弁開閉時期制御装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記クランクシャフトの回転数が所定回転数以上になったときに、前記位相保持信号を出力する請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の弁開閉時期制御装置。
