Abstract
【解決手段】(Cr、Fe)2O3固溶体からなる黒色系顔料であって、CrとFeとの比(モル比)を90〜97:10〜3として、かつ非スピネル構造をとる。

Description
そこで従来より、可視光の反射率を抑制して黒色系の色を維持しつつ、いわゆる熱線(赤外線)を選択的に反射する顔料(遮熱顔料)の検討がなされてきた。
本願出願人は特許文献1において、スピネル型結晶構造が選択的な赤外線反射性能に影響を与え、非スピネル型結晶構造とすることにより選択的な赤外線反射性能が向上することを提案している。
特許文献2にはCr2O3とFe2O3とを主成分とした非スピネル型(ヘマタイト型)の顔料が提案されている。この顔料は中赤外線(波長:2500nm)に対する選択的な反射性能を有している。
また、従来の顔料における選択的な赤外線反射性能に関して非特許文献1も参照されたい。
本発明者は、かかる高日射反射塗料に使用される遮熱顔料を得るべく鋭意研究を進めてきた。
30弱のL*値を示すこの顔料は目視でほぼ黒色である。また、近赤外線の反射率が55%を超えている。
かかる特性の黒色系顔料は、(Cr、Fe)2O3固溶体において、CrとFeとの比(モル比、この明細書において同じ)を90〜97:10〜3として、かつ非スピネル構造をとることにより得られた。
この発明の他の局面は、L*値が30以下の顔料において、CrとFeとの比(モル比、この明細書において同じ)を90〜97:10〜3として、かつ非スピネル構造をとることとする。
なお、全ての試料は非スピネル構造をとっている。比較例(Ref.1)におけるCrとFeの配合比は50:50であり、実施例1(Ex1)はCr:Fe=80:20であり、実施例2(Ex2)はCr:Fe=93:7であり、実施例3(Ex3)はCr:Fe=94:6であり、実施例4(Ex4)はCr:Fe=95:5である。
図2において特に実施例2〜4の結果より、Cr/Fe配合比を90〜97:10〜3としたとき、可視光に非常に近い領域(即ち、エネルギーの高い)の赤外線(波長:850-1000nm)を高い効率で反射することがわかる。更に好ましい範囲はCrの配合比を93〜95%とする。
図3(C)より、Crの配合量が90%以上の範囲において赤外線波長領域の反射率が格段に向上することがわかる。他方、Crの配合比が97%を超えると可視光の反射率も高くなるので黒色を維持することができない。
なお、図1における黒丸は実施例2〜4のデータを明度(L*)に換算したときものである。
このX線回折は、特許文献1に記載の方法に準じており、具体的には理学電気株式会社製の型式RINT2500V/PCを用い、ターゲット;Cu,電圧;40kV、電流;100mA、走査軸2θ/θの条件で行っている。
可視光と赤外光との反射率は分光光度計(島津製作所製の型番Solidspec-3700の分光計)で測定した。具体的には、粉末を押し固めた平板試料を作成し、この試料と標準白板(反射率99%、Labsphere(登録商標)とにハロゲンランプを照射してその反射光を上記分光光度計で測定した。
なお、出発原料として、CrやFeの塩化物、硝酸塩及び硫酸塩を用いることができる。
なお、図2において、実施例1〜4は試薬Cr2O3と試薬Fe2O3とを出発物質としている。
また、図2〜図3に示す配合比は各出発原料の配合比(モル比)に基づいている。CrとFeとの固溶体におけるCrとFeのモル比は出発原料のモル比とほぼ等しくなる。
Claims (4)
- (Cr、Fe)2O3固溶体からなる黒色系顔料であって、CrとFeとの比(モル比)を90〜97:10〜3として、かつ非スピネル構造をとる、ことを特徴とする黒色系顔料。
- (Cr、Fe)2O3固溶体からなる黒色系顔料であって、CrとFeとの比(モル比)を80〜97:20〜3として、かつ非スピネル構造をとる、ことを特徴とする黒色系顔料。
- 請求項1又は2に規定の黒色系顔料を含む釉薬。
- 請求項1又は2に規定の黒色系顔料を含む塗料。
