Abstract
【解決手段】定着装置は、ニップを画定する定着ローラ及びバッキングローラを含み、このニップにおいてトナーがマーキング材料に塗布されて、高圧力で用紙に定着する。定着ローラの表面は、半導電性の金属酸化物の表面を含む。定着ローラ及びバッキングローラにより画定されるニップの入口と出口に導電性の接地ガイドを配置する。

Claims (10)
- 定着ローラ及びバッキングローラにより画定される定着ニップを有し、前記定着ローラは前記定着ニップで処理される基材の第1の面に接触するよう設定される、定着装置であって、
前記シートの第2の面に直接接触するよう設定される導電性の部材を含む装置。 - 前記導電性の部材が、前記定着ニップの出口から延在し、前記シートが前記定着ニップから出るとき前記シートと接触するよう設定される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記導電性の部材が、銅を含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記定着ローラ上に形成される半導電性の定着ローラの接触面を含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記バッキングローラ上に形成される導電性のバッキングローラの表面を含む請求項1に記載の装置。
- 定着ローラの接触面が、金属酸化物をさらに含む、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記定着ローラの接触面が、酸化チタン、酸化クロム、酸化アルミニウム、二酸化ケイ素を含む群から選択される金属酸化物をさらに含む、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記定着ローラの接触面が、酸化クロムをさらに含む、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記定着ローラの接触面が、トナーの約10個分の直径とほぼ同じ、又は約5μm〜500μmの厚さを有する低い誘電性接触層を含む、請求項4に記載の装置。
- 前記導電性の部材が、前記定着ニップの入口から延在し、前記シートが前記定着ニップに入るとき、前記シートに接触するよう設定される、請求項1に記載の装置。
