Abstract
【解決手段】処理部103は、給電装置120からの外部電力のみで動作可能な第1の動作モードと、給電装置120からの外部電力に加えてバッテリー102からの給電により動作可能な第2の動作モードを持つ。処理部103は、バッテリー102の残容量が十分あるときには第2の動作モードで機器動作を実行するが、バッテリー102の残容量が低くなると、第1の動作モードに移行して、機器動作は継続しながら、同時にバッテリー102の充電を行なう。

(1)バッテリーと、機器動作を実行する処理部と、外部電力を用いて前記処理部への給電と前記バッテリーの充電、並びに、前記バッテリーから前記処理部への給電を制御する充放電制御部を具備し、前記処理部は、前記外部電力以下で機器動作を行なう第1の動作モードと、前記外部電力を超えた電力を使用して機器動作を行なう第2の動作モードを有し、前記バッテリーの残容量に応じて前記処理部を前記第1の動作モード又は前記第2の動作モードに切り換えて機器動作を実行する、電子機器。
(2)前記充放電制御部は、前記外部電力を前記処理部へ優先的に供給し、余剰電力を用いて前記バッテリーの充電を行なう、上記(1)に記載の電子機器。
(3)前記処理部が前記第1の動作モードで機器動作を実行しているときには、前記充放電制御部は、前記処理部が消費する前記外部電力の余剰電力を用いて前記バッテリーの充電を行なう、上記(1)に記載の電子機器。
(4)前記処理部が前記第2の動作モードで機器動作を実行しているときには、前記充放電制御部は、前記外部電力を超えた電力を前記バッテリーから前記処理部に供給する、上記(1)に記載の電子機器。
(5)前記バッテリーの残容量が大きいときには、前記処理部は前記第2の動作モードで機器動作を実行し、前記バッテリーの残容量が小さいときには、前記処理部は前記第1の動作モードで機器動作を実行する、上記(1)に記載の電子機器。
(6)前記処理部が前記第2の動作モードで機器動作を実行中に前記バッテリーの残容量が第1の閾値以下になると前記第1の動作モードに移行して、前記外部電力の余剰電力を用いて前記バッテリーの充電を行ない、前記処理部が前記第1の動作モードで機器動作を実行中に前記バッテリーの残容量が前記第1の閾値よりも高い第2の閾値以上になると前記第2の動作モードに移行する、上記(1)に記載の電子機器。
(7)前記電子機器は、ディジタルカメラ又はその他の携帯機器であり、USBホストにUSB接続されたクレードルから前記外部電力が供給される、上記(1)に記載の電子機器。
(8)前記処理部は、微弱UWB方式の近距離高速無線通信により機器外の通信相手と通信を行なう、上記(1)に記載の電子機器。
(9)前記処理部は、前記第1の動作モードにおいて、近距離高速無線通信が可能な時間のうち実際にデータ転送を行なう区間のデューティーを低くし、前記第2の動作モードにおいて、前記デューティーを前記第1の動作モードよりも高くする、上記(8)に記載の電子機器。
(10)外部電力が供給される電子機器内のバッテリーの残容量を検出する残容量検出ステップと、前記バッテリーの残容量が第1の閾値以上であるときに、前記電子機器において、前記外部電力と前記バッテリーの放電電力を用いて、前記外部電力を超えた電力を消費する第2の動作モードによる機器動作を実行する第2の機器動作ステップと、前記バッテリーの残容量が第1の閾値未満であるときに、前記電子機器において前記外部電力以下の電力を消費する第1の動作モードによる機器動作を実行する第1の機器動作ステップと、を有する充電制御方法。
(11)前記電子機器において前記第1の動作モードによる機器動作を実行しているときに、前記外部電力の余剰電力を用いて前記バッテリーを充電する充電ステップと、前記電子機器において前記第1の動作モードによる機器動作を実行中に、前記バッテリーの残容量が第2の閾値以上になったことに応答して、前記電子機器の機器動作を前記第2の動作モードに切り替える動作モード移行ステップと、をさらに有する上記(10)充電制御方法。
(12)電子機器と、前記電子機器に電力を供給する給電装置を具備し、前記電子機器は、バッテリーと、前記給電装置から供給される外部電力以下で機器動作を行なう第1の動作モードと外部電力を超えた電力を消費する機器動作を行なう第2の動作モードを有する処理部を備え、前記バッテリーの残容量に応じて前記処理部を前記第1の動作モード又は前記第2の動作モードに切り換えて機器動作を実行する、充電システム。

前記処理部は、前記外部電力以下で機器動作を行なう第1の動作モードと、前記外部電力を超えた電力を使用して機器動作を行なう第2の動作モードを有し、前記バッテリーの残容量に応じて前記処理部を前記第1の動作モード又は前記第2の動作モードに切り換えて機器動作を実行する、
