実施例1〜9の試料は、二軸押出機内で成分を配合することによって製造した。PPE、及び1種類又は複数のブロックコポリマー、並びに存在させる場合にはBUDIT 311 MPPを、供給口において加えた。PP又はHDPEを下流で加えた。有機ホスフェートエステルであるBPADPを、液体噴射器によって押出機の第2(下流)の半分の部分において加えた。押出機の終端部において材料をペレット化し、ペレット化された材料を、曲げ弾性率及び引張り伸びの試験のための試験片に射出成形した。組成を表3に示す。
架橋ブロックコポリマーを含む実施例においてPPEと共に架橋剤を加えた他は、実施例1〜9に関して上記に記載したようにして、実施例10〜16の試料を製造し、試験した。量は組成物の全重量を基準とする重量%である。実施例10〜12、15、及び16は、2重量%の上記実施例と同様の添加剤を含む。実施例13及び14は0.8重量%の添加剤を含む。組成及び結果を表4に示す。

被覆が熱可塑性組成物を含み;
熱可塑性組成物が、
(i)ポリ(アリーレンエーテル);
(ii)難燃剤;
(iii)ポリプロピレン、高密度ポリエチレン、又はこれらの組み合わせ;並びに
(iv)第1のブロック及び第2のブロックを含むブロックコポリマー;
を含み、
第1のブロックがアリールアルキレン繰り返し単位を含み、第2のブロックがアルキレン繰り返し単位を含み;
ブロックコポリマーが200,000g/モル以上の重量平均分子量を有する、被覆導体に関するガソリンに対する長期間化学耐性を向上させる方法。 - 導体の周縁上に被覆を配置することを含み;
被覆が熱可塑性組成物を含み;
熱可塑性組成物が、
(i)ポリ(アリーレンエーテル);
(ii)難燃剤;
(iii)高密度ポリエチレン;並びに
(iv)第1のブロック及び第2のブロックを含むブロックコポリマー;
を含み、
第1のブロックがアリールアルキレン繰り返し単位を含み、第2のブロックがアルキレン繰り返し単位を含み;
組成物が0.50以上のポリ(アリーレンエーテル)に対する高密度ポリエチレンの重量比を有する、被覆導体に関するガソリンに対する長期間化学耐性を向上させる方法。 - (a)被覆導体を、ISO−1817液体Cを用いてISO−6722にしたがって化学耐性に関して試験し;
(b)外部から応力を加えずに、23℃及び相対湿度50%において被覆導体を経時劣化させ;そして
(c)被覆導体をクラックに関して毎日検査する;
ことを含み、(a)〜(c)を与えられた順番で行う、ガソリンに対する長期間化学耐性を試験する方法。 - 経時劣化を閉止容器内で行わせ、閉止容器を23℃及び相対湿度50%において保持する、請求項21に記載の方法。
- 閉止容器がポリエチレンバッグを含む、請求項22に記載の方法。
- クラックの検査が裸眼視認検査を含む、請求項21に記載の方法。
- クラックの検査がISO−6722−6.2節にしたがって修正耐電圧試験を行うことを含み、修正点が、3重量%の塩化ナトリウムを含む溶液中に試料を10〜60分間浸漬し、1kVを1分印加することを含む、請求項21に記載の方法。
