Abstract
【解決手段】電線11の外被13から露出された芯線12が導通接続されるバレル部21と、相手端子と導通されるタブ端子部31とを備え、バレル部21及び電線11の端部が、樹脂モールド15によって覆われたコネクタ端子10であって、ハウジング51に形成されたキャビティ52に差し込まれてハウジング51に収容され、樹脂モールド15の後端部がキャビティ52内に配置される。

Description
(1) 電線の外被から露出された導体が導通接続されるバレル部と、相手端子と導通されるタブ端子部とを備え、前記バレル部及び前記電線の端部が、樹脂モールドによって覆われたコネクタ端子であって、
ハウジングに形成されたキャビティに差し込まれて前記ハウジングに収容され、
前記樹脂モールドの後端部が前記キャビティ内に配置されること。
(2) 上記(1)の構成のコネクタ端子において、前記タブ端子部及び前記バレル部を有する端子本体の後端から前記樹脂モールドの後端までの寸法が前記電線の直径以下とされていること。
特に、アルミニウム電線と銅端子とを圧着して接続するような場合であっても、異種金属からなる接続箇所を樹脂モールドで確実に防水することができ、異種金属接触腐食などの電食を確実に防止することができる。
上記(2)の構成のコネクタ端子では、端子本体の後端から樹脂モールドの後端までの寸法を電線の直径以下とすることにより極力短くされて曲がりにくくされているので、この樹脂モールドの曲げによる負荷を軽減することができ、よって、樹脂モールドの破損をさらに良好に防止し、バレル部と電線との接続箇所を確実に保護した状態に維持することができる。また、樹脂モールドによる電線との接続箇所の防水性を長期にわたって良好に維持することができ、高い接続信頼性を得ることができる。

Claims (2)
- 電線の外被から露出された導体が導通接続されるバレル部と、相手端子と導通されるタブ端子部とを備え、前記バレル部及び前記電線の端部が、樹脂モールドによって覆われたコネクタ端子であって、
ハウジングに形成されたキャビティに差し込まれて前記ハウジングに収容され、
前記樹脂モールドの後端部が前記キャビティ内に配置されることを特徴とするコネクタ端子。 - 前記タブ端子部及び前記バレル部を有する端子本体の後端から前記樹脂モールドの後端までの寸法が前記電線の直径以下とされていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコネクタ端子。
