Description
nH2O+CO2⇔H2CO3+(n−1)H2O

Claims (15)
- ラジカル重合可能な化合物と、有機ボラン開始剤、アミンブロック剤を有する有機ボラン−アミン錯体と、水とを含む被覆組成物を硬化させる方法であって、下記の工程、
A.前記有機ボラン−アミン錯体、前記ラジカル重合可能な化合物および水を一緒にして、前記被覆組成物を形成する工程、
B.二酸化炭素を前記被覆組成物に導入するか、または、前記被覆組成物を形成する前の、前記有機ボラン−アミン錯体、前記ラジカル重合可能な化合物および水のうちの少なくとも1つを含む組成物に導入する工程(ただし、前記二酸化炭素は、前記有機ボラン−アミン錯体の前記アミンブロック剤と、少なくとも500:1のモル比で前記被覆組成物に存在し、これにより、前記被覆組成物の温度および/または前記被覆組成物を取り囲む雰囲気の圧力に基づく予め設定された量で、インサイチュ炭酸を形成する)、
C.前記有機ボラン−アミン錯体を炭酸で分解(decomplex)させ、これにより、前記有機ボラン開始剤と、前記アミンブロック剤とを分離させる工程、および
D.前記ラジカル重合可能な化合物を、前記有機ボラン開始剤を酸素の存在下で使用して重合する工程
を含む方法。 - 炭酸の前記予め設定された量が、更に、少なくとも1:1の、炭酸の前記有機ボラン−アミン錯体の前記アミンブロック剤に対するモル比として定義される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記炭酸が約1atmの大気圧および約−78℃〜約30℃の温度で形成される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記インサイチュ炭酸が60分以下の期間内で前記予め設定された量で形成される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 二酸化炭素を導入する前記工程がさらに、前記被覆組成物を、周囲の雰囲気空気における二酸化炭素の濃度よりも大きい濃度で存在する二酸化炭素を含有する制御されたガス雰囲気にさらすこととして定義される、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 二酸化炭素を導入する前記工程がさらに、超臨界の二酸化炭素を前記被覆組成物に導入するか、または、前記被覆組成物を形成する前の、前記有機ボラン−アミン錯体、前記ラジカル重合可能な化合物および前記水のうちの少なくとも1つを含む組成物に導入することとして定義される、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 二酸化炭素を導入する前記工程がさらに、固体の二酸化炭素を前記被覆組成物に導入するか、または、前記被覆組成物を形成する前の、前記有機ボラン−アミン錯体、前記ラジカル重合可能な化合物および前記水のうちの少なくとも1つを含む組成物に導入することとして定義される、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記二酸化炭素を導入する前記工程がさらに、前記二酸化炭素をインピンジメント(impingement)スプレーガンのノズルから噴霧することとして定義される、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記被覆組成物に存在する酸素の量を制限する工程をさらに含む、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ラジカル重合可能な化合物が、不飽和なアクリル酸エステル樹脂、機能的なアクリル酸エステルモノマーおよびそれらの組合せの群から選択される、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記ラジカル重合可能な化合物が前記被覆組成物の総重量に基づいて90重量パーセント〜97重量パーセントの量で存在し、かつ、前記有機ボラン−アミン錯体が前記被覆組成物の総重量に基づいて2重量パーセント〜5重量パーセントの量で存在する、請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記有機ボラン錯体を分解させる前記工程が前記反応性組成物の外部加熱の非存在下で行われる、請求項1〜12のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 工程A)がさらに、前記被覆組成物を自動車構成部品に塗布することを含む、請求項1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 請求項14に記載される方法に従ってその表面に形成される硬化した被覆を含む自動車構成部品。
