Abstract
Description
a)少なくとも部分的に中和されていてよい、酸基を有する少なくとも1つのエチレン系不飽和モノマー、
b)少なくとも1つの架橋剤、
c)少なくとも1つの開始剤、
d)任意に、a)に挙げたモノマーと共重合可能な1つ又はそれ以上のエチレン系不飽和モノマー及び
e)任意に、1つ又はそれ以上の水溶性ポリマー
を含有するモノマー溶液又はモノマー懸濁液を重合することによって吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造するにあたり、金属不純物を、吸水性ポリマー粒子を含有する生成物材料流から磁気分離器を用いて分離することとし、
前記生成物材料流が35〜90℃の温度を有することにより特徴付けられる、吸水性ポリマー粒子の製造方法によって解決される。
測定は、他に記載されない限り、23±2℃の周囲温度及び50±10%の相対空気湿度で実施する。吸水性ポリマー粒子を、その測定前に十分混合する。
0.3psi(2070Pa)の圧力負荷下での膨潤ゲル層の液体再伝導(SFC)を、欧州特許出願公開(EP-A1)第0 640 330号明細書に記載されたように、吸水性ポリマー粒子からなる膨潤ゲル層のゲル層透過性として測定し、その際に前記の特許出願明細書の19頁及び図8に記載された装置を、ガラスフリット(40)をもはや使用せず、プランジャー(39)がシリンダー(37)と同じプラスチック材料からなり、かつ目下接触面全体にわたって均一に分布された21の同じ大きさの孔を有するように変更した。測定の手順並びに評価は、欧州特許出願公開(EP-A1)第0 640 330号明細書に対して変わらないままである。流れは自動的に検出される。
SFC[cm3s/g]=(Fg(t=0)×L0)/(d×A×WP)
ここで、Fg(t=0)はNaCl溶液の流れ[g/s]であり、これは流れ測定のデータFg(t)の線形回帰分析に基づいてt=0に対する外挿により得られ、L0はゲル層の厚さ[cm]であり、dはNaCl溶液の密度[g/cm3]であり、Aはゲル層の面積[cm2]であり、かつWPはゲル層の静水圧[dyn/cm2]である。
吸水性ポリマー粒子の含水量は、EDANAにより推奨された試験法No. WSP 230.2-05"Moisture Content"に従って測定される。
遠心機保持容量(CRC)は、EDANAにより推奨された試験法No. WSP 241.2-05"Centrifuge Retention Capacity"に従って測定される。
49.2g/cm2の圧力下での吸収(AUL0.7psi)は、EDANA(European Disposables and Nonwovens Association)により推奨された試験法No. WSP 242.2-05"Absorption under Pressure"に類似して測定され、その際に21.0g/cm2の圧力(AUL0.3psi)の代わりに49.2g/cm2の圧力(AUL0.7psi)に調節される。
脱イオン水、50質量%カセイソーダ液及びアクリル酸の連続的な混合により、アクリル酸/ナトリウムアクリラート溶液を製造したので、中和度は71.3mol%に相当していた。モノマー溶液の固体含量は38.8質量%であった。

例2において得られた吸水性ポリマー粒子Aを、40℃及び80%の相対湿度で2もしくは3時間貯蔵し、引き続き23℃もしくは60℃の温度で30もしくは60分間、機械負荷をかけた。
例3において得られた吸水性ポリマー粒子Bを、40℃及び80%の相対湿度で2もしくは3時間貯蔵し、引き続き23℃もしくは60℃の温度で30もしくは60分間、機械負荷をかけた。
Claims (14)
- a)少なくとも部分的に中和されていてよい、酸基を有する少なくとも1つのエチレン系不飽和モノマー、
b)少なくとも1つの架橋剤、
c)少なくとも1つの開始剤、
d)任意に、a)に挙げたモノマーと共重合可能な1つ又はそれ以上のエチレン系不飽和モノマー及び
e)任意に、1つ又はそれ以上の水溶性ポリマー
を含有するモノマー溶液又はモノマー懸濁液を重合することによって吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造するにあたり、金属不純物を、吸水性ポリマー粒子を含有する生成物材料流から磁気分離器を用いて分離し、
前記生成物材料流が35〜90℃の温度を有することを特徴とする、吸水性ポリマー粒子を製造する方法。 - 生成物材料流中の吸水性ポリマー粒子が、1〜20質量%の含水量を有する、請求項1記載の方法。
- 吸水性ポリマー粒子の含水量が、磁気分離器の上流で高められる、請求項1又は2記載の方法。
- 水に対する磁気分離器の内部表面が、少なくとも60°の接触角を有する、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 磁気分離器の内部表面が、フッ素化ポリオレフィンでコーティングされている、請求項4記載の方法。
- 磁気分離器の表面ローディングが2〜15g/cm2sである、請求項1から5までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 棒磁石を磁気分離器として使用する、請求項1から6までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 棒磁石が5〜30mmの直径を有する、請求項7記載の方法。
- 棒磁石が、磁化可能でない材料製のケース中に存在する、請求項7又は8記載の方法。
- モノマーa)が、部分的に中和されたアクリル酸である、請求項1から9までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 吸水性ポリマー粒子の少なくとも95質量%が、少なくとも150μmの粒度を有する、請求項1から10までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 吸水性ポリマー粒子の少なくとも95質量%が、最大でも600μmの粒度を有する、請求項1から11までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 吸水性ポリマー粒子が表面後架橋されている、請求項1から12までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 吸水性ポリマー粒子が少なくとも15g/gの遠心機保持容量を有する、請求項1から13までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
