Abstract
【解決手段】作像部材20に物理的に接触するよう配置した形状適合付着面を有する第1の清掃部材74を用い、インク塗布潜像の作像部材20から下地への転写に随伴するような作像部材20上に残留する残留インク76を、形状適合付着面に付着させ、それによって作像部材20から除去する。清掃方法はさらに、比較的硬質で平滑な面を有する第1の清掃部材74に物理的に接触する第2の清掃部材78を用い、作像部材20から除去されて第1の清掃部材74の付着面に付着する残留インク76を第2の清掃部材78上に分離することができる。

Claims (10)
- 可変データ平版印刷システムにおいて随意再作像可能作像部材の表面から残留インクを除去する方法であって、
第1の清掃部材の形状適合可能付着面を前記作像部材の前記表面に物理的に接触させ、インク塗布担持潜像の下地への転写後に前記作像部材上に残留する残留インクを前記形状適合付着面に付着させ、それによって前記作像部材から除去する工程を含む、方法。 - 前記第1の清掃部材の前記形状適合可能付着面に第2の清掃部材の比較的硬質で平滑な面を物理的に接触させ、前記作像部材から除去されて前記第1の清掃部材の前記形状適合付着面に付着する残留インクがそこから前記第2の清掃部材上に分離するようにする工程をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の清掃部材上にインク層を確立し、前記第2の清掃部材上の前記インク層の一部を前記第1の清掃部材上のインクに接触させ、前記第1の清掃部材上の前記インクを前記第2の清掃部材上の前記インクに付着させ、それによって前記第1の清掃部材から除去されるようにする工程をさらに含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の清掃部材の前記表面に第1のドクターブレードを物理的に接触させ、前記第2の清掃部材により前記第1の清掃部材から除去された残留インクを前記第1のドクターブレードにより前記第2の清掃部材から除去する工程をさらに含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 第3の清掃部材の形状適合付着面を、前記第1の清掃部材が前記作像部材に接触する位置の該作像部材の移動方向後方の所定位置で前記作像部材に物理的に接触させ、前記第1の清掃部材による残留インクの除去に続き前記作像部材上に残留する余分な残留インクを前記第3の清掃部材により除去する工程と、
第4の清掃部材の比較的硬質で平滑な面を前記第3の清掃部材に物理的に接触させ、前記作像部材から除去され、前記第3の清掃部材の前記形状適用付着面に付着する残留インクをそこから前記第4の清掃部材上に分離する工程と、
前記第4の清掃部材の前記表面に第2のドクターブレードを物理的に接触させ、前記第4の清掃部材により前記第3の清掃部材から除去された残留インクを前記第2のドクターブレードにより前記第4の清掃部材から除去する工程とをさらに含む、請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記作像部材の前記表面に前記形状適合付着面を物理的に接触させる前に、前記作像部材上に残留する前記残留インクを少なくとも一部硬化させ、その除去を容易にする工程をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも一部の硬化は、加熱、露光、乾燥、紫外線放射以外のエネルギ印加を通じて開始される化学的硬化、および多成分化学的硬化とからなる群から選択される方法により遂行する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記形状適合付着面を前記作像部材の前記表面に物理的に接触させる前に前記作像部材の前記表面から湿潤溶液を少なくとも一部蒸発させる工程をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも一部の蒸発工程は、前記作像部材の前記表面の加熱、前記作像部材の前記表面の露光、および前記作像部材の前記表面へのガス流の導入とからなる群から選択される方法により遂行する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記作像部材の前記表面に前記形状適合付着面を物理的に接触させる前に、前記残留インクに粘性低減溶剤を導入し、それによって前記作像部材からの前記インクの清掃を向上させる、請求項1に記載の方法。
