Claims (1)
- 作像面を有する随意再作像可能作像部材と、前記作像面に湿潤溶液を塗布して湿潤溶液層を形成する湿潤溶液サブシステムと、前記湿潤溶液層の一部を選択的に除去し、前記作像面上にインクを受容する潜像を生成するパターン形成サブシステムと、前記作像面にインクを塗布し、前記作像面上に前記潜像に基づくインク層を形成するインク塗布サブシステムと、前記インク層のインクを下地に転写する画像転写サブシステムと、前記随意再作像可能作像部材の表面から残留インクを除去する清掃サブシステムとを含む種の可変データ平版印刷システムにおける改善されたインク塗布のための方法であって、
前記インク塗布サブシステムが、前記インクを第1の複素粘弾性係数に保ちつつ前記作像面に塗布することによって、前記作像面上において、前記インクを、前記湿潤溶液により被覆された領域から分離させるとともに、前記パターン形成サブシステムにより前記湿潤溶液が除去された所定領域内に受容させて前記インク層を形成する工程と、
前記作像面への前記インクの塗布に続き、前記下地への前記インクの転写前に、前記インクが前記作像面を覆っている間に前記インクの複素粘弾性係数を第2の複素粘弾性係数へ増大させ、それによって前記画像転写サブシステムにおける前記下地への前記インクの転写前にインク凝集エネルギとインク粘着性の少なくとも一方のレベルを増大させる工程と、
前記画像転写サブシステムにおいて前記インクを前記下地に転写する工程とを含み、
前記インクには、低分子量添加剤、有機溶剤、アイソパー溶剤、および粘性低減液体からなる群から選択される添加剤が添加されており、
前記インクの凝集エネルギとインク粘着性は、前記添加剤をインクから前記作像面へ優先的に脱離させることによって増大される、
方法。
