Description

The present invention relates to a structure for attaching another exterior component to an exterior component such as a fender liner attached along a wheel house of a vehicle, for example.

A fender liner whose main purpose is to absorb and block road noise during traveling is attached to a wheel house on the front side of the vehicle, for example. This fender liner is provided with a two-layer structure in which, for example, a nonwoven fabric layer is joined to the back side of a base material made of polyethylene resin in order to further improve the absorbability of road surface noise. A semi-cylindrical shaped body is used.
Conventionally, various techniques related to the fender liner are disclosed in the following patent documents. Patent Document 1 describes a technique related to a fender liner having a two-layer structure including a non-woven fabric, and Patent Document 2 describes a fender liner provided with a clip piece that is bent into an S shape and sandwiches an end surface of the fender. Patent Document 3 describes a fender liner having an edge formed in a two-layer thick portion. Patent Document 4 describes a fender liner in which a molding is attached along an edge joined to a fender panel. Patent Document 5 describes an edge portion of a fender panel and an edge of a fender liner that are coupled to each other. The structure which attached the arch molding along the part is described.
As disclosed in each of these patent documents, apart from the mounting structure of the fender liner to the fender panel, other exterior parts may be fixed to the fender liner attached to the fender panel. Bolt insertion holes for screwing fenders, etc. are provided at appropriate locations on the peripheral edge, and for securing clips for fixing parts of exterior parts such as engine undercovers to this fender liner. There may be provided a fitting hole.
When the engine under cover is clipped to the fender liner through this fitting hole, the engine under cover is brought into contact with the outer surface of the fender liner attached to the wheel house with the base material side as the outer surface side, and the insertion is made. With the hole aligned with the fitting hole on the fender liner side, when the clip, commonly known as a flowering clip, was pushed into the fitting hole through the insertion hole, the engaging claw of the clip passed through the fitting hole The engine under cover is secured to the fender liner, opening sideways in position.

However, in the case of a fender liner having a two-layer structure including a nonwoven fabric, the rigidity of the nonwoven fabric layer is likely to decrease due to rain water splashed during traveling, so that when a clip pull-out load occurs, other engine undercovers and the like There was a problem that the clip for fixing the exterior part was easily detached.
The present invention has been made to solve such conventional problems, and an object of the present invention is to prevent loosening or disengagement of a clip that fixes another exterior component to an exterior component such as a fender liner.

Said subject is solved by each following invention.
1st invention is the attachment structure for mutually connecting the 1st exterior parts and the 2nd exterior parts in vehicles using a clip, and the 1st exterior parts are at least a resin base material layer and a nonwoven fabric layer. It has a two-layer structure, the second exterior component is brought into contact with the resin base material layer side, the clip is inserted from the insertion hole of the second exterior component, and the fitting hole on the first exterior component side The first exterior component and the second exterior component are coupled to each other by being engaged with each other, and the joint portion of the first exterior component that contacts the second exterior component is the non-woven fabric. It is an attachment structure in which a resin binding layer sandwiching a layer with the resin base material layer is added to form at least a three-layer structure, and the clip is engaged with the resin binding layer.
According to the first invention, the clip inserted from the engine under cover side when, for example, the engine under cover as the second exterior part is attached to the fender liner as the first exterior part by using the clip. Is engaged with the fitting hole of the resin bonding layer, not the non-woven fabric layer of the fender liner. For this reason, even if the rainwater jumps up during running of the vehicle, water penetrates into the nonwoven fabric layer, and as a result the rigidity of the nonwoven fabric layer (clip pulling strength) decreases, the clip engages with the fitting hole in the resin bonding layer. As a result, the pull-out strength of the clip is not reduced, and the joint state of both exterior parts can be maintained.
In short, for the joint portion of the first exterior component with which the second exterior component abuts, the clip is formed by making the nonwoven fabric layer at least a three-layer structure sandwiched between the resin base material layer and the resin bond layer. If it is set as the structure engaged with the fitting hole of a resin bond layer, the pulling-out yield strength can be raised compared with the structure engaged with a nonwoven fabric layer. Therefore, in addition to a configuration in which the resin base material layer of the folded portion functions as a resin bonding layer when a part of the edge of the first exterior component is folded into four layers, a separately prepared resin bonding layer is a non-woven fabric layer. It is good also as a structure which overlap | superposes to three layers. In the latter case, the resin bonding layer may be the same material as the resin base layer or a resin layer of a different material.
According to a second invention, in the first invention, the connecting portion of the first exterior component has a four-layer structure in which the edge of the first exterior component is folded with the nonwoven fabric layer inside.
According to the second invention, in the manufacturing process of the first exterior part, a part of the edge thereof is overmolded to form a coupling overhang part, and the coupling overhang part is simply bent when the second exterior part is coupled. The joint portion can be made into a four-layer structure. In this case, the coupling portion of the first exterior component has a four-layer structure in which two nonwoven fabric layers are sandwiched between the resin base material layer and the resin coupling layer, and the clip is engaged with the fitting hole of the resin engagement layer. Combined. For this reason, the efficiency of the joining operation | work of a 2nd exterior component can be achieved, raising the pulling-out strength of a clip.
A third invention is an attachment structure in which in the second invention, two non-woven fabric layers that are overlapped by folding the edge of the first exterior part are bonded to each other.
According to the third invention, since the two nonwoven fabric layers bonded to each other are cured by the individualization of the adhesive, the pulling-out strength of the clip can be further increased.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, the connecting portion of the first exterior component is a non-woven fabric layer between the resin base material layer and the base material layer projecting portion provided integrally with the edge of the resin base material layer. The mounting structure is a three-layer structure that is folded back in the sandwiching direction.
According to the fourth invention, in the manufacturing process of the first exterior component, only the resin base material layer is stretched and formed on a part of the edge to provide the base material layer projecting portion. By folding the layer overhanging part toward the nonwoven fabric layer to form a three-layer structure, the clip can be engaged with the fitting hole of the bent base material layer overhanging part (resin engagement layer) to increase its pull-out strength it can.

1 is a plan view of a vehicle including a fender liner and an engine undercover according to an embodiment of the present invention. It is a perspective view of a fender liner and an engine under cover on the right front side of the vehicle. This figure has shown the state seen from the vehicle interior side. It is an expanded sectional view of the (III) part of Drawing 2, and is a longitudinal section of a connecting part to an engine undercover of a fender liner. It is a perspective view of the coupling | bond part with respect to the engine undercover of a fender liner. It is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the coupling | bond part which shows the attachment structure of 2nd Embodiment. It is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of the coupling | bond part which shows the attachment structure of 3rd Embodiment.

Next, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 1 schematically shows a plane of the vehicle 1. In the embodiment described below, a fender liner 10 for the right front wheel 2 is illustrated as a first exterior part mounted on the vehicle 1, and an engine undercover (hereinafter simply referred to as “undercover”) covering the lower part of the engine as a second exterior part. 4 ”).
The fender liner 10 is attached above the right front wheel 2 of the vehicle 1 and along the wheel house 3 a of the front fender 3. The fender liner 10 is generally formed in a semi-cylindrical shape, and is screwed along the wheel house 3a through screw holes 10a to 10a provided at appropriate positions on the periphery thereof. A coupling portion 11 for coupling the under cover 4 is provided at the front portion of the fender liner 10.
The fender liner 10 has a two-layer structure of a resin base material layer 12 made of polyethylene resin and a nonwoven fabric layer 13. The fender liner 10 is attached in a state where the resin base material layer 12 is directed to the right front wheel 2 side (lower surface side) and the nonwoven fabric layer 13 is directed to the inner surface side (upper surface side). Since the nonwoven fabric layer 13 is laminated, the efficiency of absorbing road surface noise during traveling of the vehicle is enhanced, and the quietness in the vehicle interior is ensured.
As shown in FIG. 3, the abutting portion 4 a of the under cover 4 is brought into contact with the lower surface of the coupling portion 11 of the fender liner 10 to be coupled to each other. The contact portion 4a is provided with one insertion hole 4b. Other parts of the under cover 4 are screwed to the engine or the vehicle body side.
The under cover 4 is clipped to the connecting portion 11 of the fender liner 10 using a clip 20. The clip 20 is a conventionally known one called a so-called flower bloom clip, and has a clip body 21 and a push-in pin 22.

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the insertion portion 11 of the fender liner 10 is integrally provided with one insertion hole 11 a and a folded portion 14. The folded portion 14 is also formed into a two-layer structure of the resin base material layer 12 and the nonwoven fabric layer 13 when the fender liner 10 is formed. For this reason, when the under cover 4 is joined, the folded portion 14 is folded in a direction in which the nonwoven fabric layers 13 and 13 are overlapped with each other, so that the coupled portion 11 has a four-layer structure. In the following description, the resin base material layer 12 on the folded portion 14 side is referred to as a folded base material layer 14a, and the nonwoven fabric layer 13 is referred to as a folded nonwoven fabric layer 14b. One folding hole 14 c is provided in the folded portion 14. In the case of the first embodiment, the folded base layer 14a corresponds to the resin bonding layer described in the claims.
The non-woven fabric layer 13 and the folded non-woven fabric layer 14b that are overlapped with each other are bonded to each other with an adhesive. In this folded state, the insertion hole 4b on the under cover 4 side, the insertion hole 11a of the coupling part 11, and the fitting hole 14c of the folded part 14 are concentrically connected.
In a state where the insertion hole 4b on the under cover 4 side, the insertion hole 11a of the coupling part 11 and the fitting hole 14c of the folded part 14 are aligned to form one through hole, the clip 20 extends from the insertion hole 4b on the under cover 4 side. The clip body 21 is inserted, and then the push pin 22 is pushed into the clip body 21. When the push pin 22 is pushed into the clip body 21, the left and right engaging claws 21a, 21a of the clip body 21 are pushed right and left and engaged with the fitting hole 14c of the folded portion 14. FIG. 3 shows this engaged state. In this engaged state, the engaging claws 21 a and 21 a of the clip 20 are folded and engaged with the fitting holes 14 c of the base material layer 14 a, and the under cover 4 is in contact with the coupling portion 11 of the fender liner 10. A part (contact part 4a) is mutually connected and attached.

According to the mounting structure of the first embodiment described above, when the engine under cover 4 as the second exterior component is clipped to the fender liner 10 as the first exterior component, the engaging claws 21a, 21 a is engaged with the fitting hole 14 c of the folded base material layer 14 a of the fender liner 10. For this reason, even if rainwater or the like splashed up by traveling of the vehicle soaks into the nonwoven fabric layer 13 or the folded nonwoven fabric layer 14b and the rigidity thereof decreases, the engagement of the engagement claws 21a and 21a of the clip 20 with respect to the fitting hole 14c. The combined state is maintained and the pulling-out strength of the clip 20 is maintained, thereby preventing troubles such as inadvertent removal of the clip.
Further, in the illustrated first embodiment, the folding claws 14 formed integrally with the coupling portion 11 of the fender liner 10 are folded to form a four-layer structure, whereby the engagement claws 21a and 21a of the clip 20 are folded back. Can be engaged with the fitting hole 14c. In this way, the pulling-out strength of the clip 20 can be increased with a simple operation and a simple configuration that only bends the folded base material layer 14a as compared with the case where the clip 20 is engaged with the conventional nonwoven fabric layer.
Furthermore, since the non-woven fabric layer 13 and the folded back non-woven fabric layer 14b which are overlapped with each other by the four-layer structure of the joint portion 11 are bonded by an adhesive, both the non-woven fabric layers 13 are obtained by solidifying the adhesive. , 14b can be cured to increase the pulling strength of the clip 20 in this respect.

Various modifications can be made to the first embodiment described above. In the first embodiment, the folded portion 14 having a two-layer structure of the folded base material layer 14a and the folded nonwoven fabric layer 14b has been illustrated. For example, as shown in FIG. It is good also as the coupling | bond part 16 of the three-layer structure which provides the material layer overhang | projection part 15 and folds back and sandwiches the nonwoven fabric layer 13 between the resin base material layers 12. In this case, the base material layer projecting portion 15 corresponds to the resin bonding layer described in the claims. Since the engaging claws 21a, 21a of the clip 20 are also engaged with the fitting holes 15a of the base material overhanging portion 15 by the connecting portion 16 having such a three-layer structure, the pulling strength of the clip 20 is increased. Can do.
In the first and second embodiments, a two-layer structure or a single-layer overhang is integrally provided in the joint portion of the fender liner 10 and bent to form a four-layer structure or a three-layer structure. For example, as shown in FIG. 6, a separately prepared resin reinforcing member 17 is bonded to the upper surface of the coupling portion 11 of the fender liner 10, and the clip 20 is inserted into the fitting hole 17 a of the reinforcing member 17. The engaging claws 21a and 21a may be engaged. For the reinforcing member 17, the same polyethylene resin as that of the resin base material layer 12 can be used as a material. In this case, the reinforcing member 17 corresponds to the resin bonding layer described in the claims. Even with the mounting structure of the third embodiment, the engaging claws 21a, 21a of the clip 20 are engaged with the fitting holes 17a of the resin reinforcing member 17 in the same manner as the resin base material layer 12. Even if the rigidity of the nonwoven fabric layer 13 decreases due to the penetration, the pulling strength of the clip 20 can be maintained well.
Further, in the first to third embodiments described above, the fender liner 10 is illustrated as the first exterior component coupled to each other, and the engine under cover 4 is illustrated as the second exterior component. The structure can be applied to the case where the other two exterior parts are bonded to each other and one of the exterior parts has a two-layer structure including a nonwoven fabric layer.
