Abstract
【解決手段】製造方法は、窒化珪素粉末と炭素質物質とからなり珪素と炭素のモル比が0.5〜1.5である炭化珪素生成原料、及び、骨材としての炭化珪素粉末を含む混合原料で、単一の軸方向Zに延びて列設された複数の隔壁14により区画された複数のセル15を備えるハニカム構造の成形体を成形する成形工程と、成形体を非酸化雰囲気で焼成し、導電性の基体10とする焼成工程と、基体を、軸方向の一端から軸方向に沿って他端に至ることなく切断してスリット部11を形成する切断工程と、スリット部を、電気絶縁性または基体より電気伝導率の小さい充填材12で充填する充填工程とを具備する。

そこで、上記の測定結果をもとに、電流の経路の長さに対する電気抵抗値の変化をグラフ化して図4に示す。なお、上記の電極間距離は、軸方向の距離と軸方向に垂直な方向の距離とを合計した距離であるため、電極間の最短距離は上記の距離より若干短くなる。

Claims (4)
- 窒化珪素粉末と炭素質物質とからなり珪素と炭素のモル比が0.5〜1.5である炭化珪素生成原料、及び、骨材としての炭化珪素粉末を含む混合原料で、単一の軸方向に延びて列設された複数の隔壁により区画された複数のセルを備えるハニカム構造の成形体を成形する成形工程と、
前記成形体を非酸化雰囲気で焼成し、導電性の基体とする焼成工程と、
前記基体を、前記軸方向の一端から前記軸方向に沿って他端に至ることなく切断してスリット部を形成する切断工程と、
前記スリット部を、電気絶縁性または前記基体より電気伝導率の小さい充填材で充填する充填工程と
を具備することを特徴とする導電性炭化珪素質ハニカム構造体の製造方法。 - 前記充填材は焼成しない
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の導電性炭化珪素質ハニカム構造体の製造方法。 - 前記切断工程では、前記軸方向の一端に開口するスリット部と、他端に開口するスリット部とを隣接して形成する
ことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の導電性炭化珪素質ハニカム構造体の製造方法。 - 前記焼成工程の前または後に、前記軸方向の一端に開放したセルと他端に開放したセルとが交互となるように、それぞれの前記セルの一端を封止する封止工程を具備する
ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項3の何れか一つに記載の導電性炭化珪素質ハニカム構造体の製造方法。
