Claims (10)
- 電力を生成するシステムであって、
飛行型発電機と、
飛行型発電機から地上へ電気を伝達するとともに、飛行型発電機に取り付けられる第1の端部を有するテザー組立品と、
テザー組立品をドラムへ巻き取るとともに、テザー組立品をドラムから巻き出すウィンチ組立品とを備え、
ウィンチ組立品は、ドラムに巻き取られたテザー組立品に対しテザー組立品の第1の端
部にかかる張力よりも低い張力を付与するように構成される、電力生成システム。 - 飛行型発電機は、テザー組立品がウィンチ組立品によって巻き出される際に、展開高度まで動力上昇することによりテザー組立品を延ばすとともに、自動回転で降下することにより、テザー組立品にかかる張力を低減する、請求項1に記載の電力生成システム。
- ウィンチ組立品は、ドラムの外側に設けられたテーブルと、テーブルに接続する運搬用
組立品とを備え、
テーブルは、テザー組立品がドラムへ巻き取られる前にテザー組立品にかかる張力を解
放し、運搬用組立品は、テザー組立品のウィンチ組立品角度を調整し、
運搬用組立品は、テザー組立品の第1の端部の方向を天頂角がおおよそ10−90度となるようにして定めるとともに、テザー組立品の方向を方位角がおおよそ0−270度となるようにして定め、
ウィンチ組立品は、略0−約10度の巻き取り角度にてテザー組立品をドラムへ巻き取る、請求項1に記載
の電力生成システム。 - ウィンチ組立品は、テザー組立品の長さ方向の張力を調整するとともにテザー組立品をドラムに対して固定する固定用組立品を備え、
ウィンチ組立品は、メモリーを有する制御器を備え、
制御器は、テザーに対する固定用組立品の固定位置を記録し、メモリーは、記録された固定位置の保存/読み取りを行う、請求項1に記載の電力生成システム。 - テザー組立品は、発電機から地上へ電気を伝達する第1のケーブルと、発電機から地上
へ電気を伝達する第2のケーブルと、第3のケーブルとを備え、
第1および第2のケーブルは、互いにおよび第3のケーブルと電気的に絶縁されており、
ウィンチ組立品は、第1のケーブルを第1のドラムへ巻き取る第1のウィンチ組立品と
、第2のケーブルを第2のドラムへ巻き取る第2のウィンチ組立品と、第3のケーブルを
第3のドラムへ巻き取る第3のウィンチ組立品とを備え、
第1および第2のウィンチ組立品は、互いにおよび第3のウィンチ組立品とは独立して
巻き取りを行う、請求項1に記載の電力生成システム。 - 飛行型発電機は、ほぼ垂直に動力上昇するように制御されることにより、テザー組立品
の長さをウィンチ組立品の高さに対する所望の電力生成高度のおおよそ1.2−1.6倍
の長さにする、請求項1に記載の電力生成システム。 - 飛行型発電機に連結されるテザーを取り扱う方法であって、
ドラムからテザーを巻き出しながら、飛行型発電機を第1の高度で飛行させる工程と、
第1の高度に位置される飛行型発電機を用いて電気を生成し、その電気をテザーから地上に位置されるステーションへ伝達する工程と、
飛行型発電機を自動回転させるとともに、テザーをドラムへ巻き取る際にテザーにかかる張力を低減するように巻き取り角度を所望の角度にて維持することにより、飛行型発電機を地上へ飛行させる工程と、を含む方法。 - 飛行型発電機を第1の高度で飛行させる工程は、飛行型発電機を第1の高度よりも高い展開高度へ動力上昇させる工程と、テザーを第1の高度の1,2−1.6倍である所望の展開長さにて固定する工程と、テザーを固定した後に飛行型発電機を自動回転させることにより、飛行型発電機を展開高度から第1の高度へ飛行させる工程とを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- テザーは、飛行型発電機に連結される耐荷重ケーブルと、飛行型発電機に連結される導
体ケーブルとを備え、
耐荷重ケーブルは第1のドラムへ巻き取られるとともに、導体ケーブルは独立して第2のドラムへ巻き取られ、
耐荷重ケーブルが第1のドラムへ巻き取られる前に、導体ケーブルは第2のドラムへ巻き取られる、請求項7に記載の
方法。 - 飛行型発電機に連結されるテザーを取り扱う方法であって、
飛行型発電機を地上よりも上方の第1の高度に展開する工程と、
テザーを巻き取ることにより飛行型発電機を巻き取る工程と、
固定用組立品を用いてテザーを固定する工程と、
テザーの中で固定用組立品による固定力の付与された第1の位置をトラッキングする工
程と、
テザーの中で固定用組立品によってまだ固定されていない第2の位置にてテザーを固定
する工程とを備える方法。
