Abstract

該第1の端部分と第2の端部分との間に中間部分を形成することであって、該中間部分は、該中間部分を通る流体の流動を実質的に防止する構成に変換するように構成される、ことと
を含む、方法。 - 前記1つ以上の固着部材を作製することは、ディスクから前記1つ以上の固着部材を形成することを含む、請求項22に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ以上の固着部材を作製することは、前記基部内に中心穴を形成することをさらに含む、請求項22に記載の方法。

該第1の端部分が該開口部の片側で該拘束構成から非拘束構成に変換するように、該カテーテルから該第1の端部分を取り出すことと、
該第2の端部分を該開口部の反対側で非拘束構成に変換するように、該カテーテルから該第2の端部分を取り出すことと、
該中間部分を、該開口部を実質的に閉鎖する構成に変換することと
を含む、方法。 - 前記拘束構成は、前記第1の端部分の固着部材および前記第2の端部分の固着部材を拘束することを含む、請求項30に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の端部分を取り出すことは、前記カテーテルから前記第1の端部分を押し出すことを含む、請求項30に記載の方法。
- 前記中間部分を変換することは、前記開口部を閉鎖するように、該中間部分を開放位置から閉鎖位置に変換することを含む、請求項30に記載の方法。
- 前記中間部分を変換することは、該中間部分を長手方向に通過する空洞を閉鎖することを含む、請求項33に記載の方法。
- 前記中間部分を変換することは、該中間部分を前記開放位置から前記閉鎖位置に変換するように、該中間部分を捻転させることを含む、請求項33に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の端部分を取り出すことは、前記カテーテルから前記第2の端部分を押し出すように、身体から該カテーテルを引っ込めることを含む、請求項30に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の端部分の遠位端は、実質的に鋭い先端を形成するように構成される、請求項30に記載の方法。

該ストリップの部分は、該デバイスが拘束されていないときに、相互に向かって該溝に沿って折り重なるように構成される、デバイス。 - 前記管上に配置される被覆材料をさらに含む、請求項41に記載のデバイス。
- 前記被覆材料は、布である、請求項42に記載のデバイス。
- 前記被覆材料は、親水性材料、ウレタン、およびポリエステル材料のうちの1つである、請求項42に記載のデバイス。

遠位端に閉鎖デバイスを含有するカテーテルを、体内に挿入することであって、該デバイスは、該カテーテル内で拘束構成である、ことと、
該開口部に近接して該カテーテルの該遠位端を位置付けることと、
該デバイスが該拘束構成から非拘束構成に変換して該穿刺を閉鎖するように、該開口部に近接して該デバイスを配備することと
を含み、
該変換は、該デバイスが、該長手方向軸に沿って収縮し、該長手方向軸に対して横方向に拡張することを含む、方法。 - 前記非拘束構成は、前記デバイスが前記長手方向軸に対して横方向に実質的に平面である形状である、請求項49に記載の方法。
- 前記デバイスを配備することは、カテーテルから該デバイスを押し出すことを含む、請求項49に記載の方法。
