本出願は、2008年5月29日に出願された米国特許仮出願第61/130,220号に基づくものであり、かつその優先権を主張するものである。
Claims (19)
- 導電性材料であって、
炭素繊維を含む導電性繊維を含む第1の繊維と、パルプ繊維、合成繊維またはそれらの混合物を含む第2の繊維とを含有する導電性不織ウェブを含み、
前記導電性繊維が、前記導電性不織ウェブ中に約5重量%ないし約50重量%の量で存在し、かつ
前記導電性不織ウェブが、導電性領域と、超音波処理により形成された非導電性領域とを有することを特徴とする導電性材料。 - 請求項1に記載の導電性材料であって、
前記非導電性領域が、前記導電性領域の抵抗値よりも少なくとも4倍大きい抵抗値を有することを特徴とする導電性材料。 - 請求項1または請求項2に記載の導電性材料であって、
前記第2の繊維が、パルプ繊維を含むことを特徴とする導電性材料。 - 請求項1ないし請求項3に記載の導電性材料であって、
前記第2の繊維が、熱可塑性高分子から作製された合成繊維を含むことを特徴とする導電性材料。 - 請求項1ないし請求項4に記載の導電性材料であって、
前記導電性領域と前記非導電性領域とによって前記ウェブ中に電気回路が形成されたことを特徴とする導電性材料。 - 請求項1ないし請求項5に記載の導電性材料であって、
第1の導電性ウェブと第2の導電性ウェブとを含み、
前記第1及び第2の導電性ウェブを、前記超音波処理された領域を介して互いに接合させたことを特徴とする導電性材料。 - 請求項6に記載の導電性材料であって、
前記超音波処理された領域が、前記非導電性領域の近傍において、前記第1及び第2のウェブの電気的接続を形成することを特徴とする導電性材料。 - 請求項1ないし請求項7のいずれかに記載の導電性材料から構成される電気的スイッチであって、
前記導電性不織ウェブと、該ウェブに対して互いに離間して対向配置された導電性層とを含み、
前記導電性不織ウェブと前記導電性層とを互いに押し付けて接触させたときに、前記導電性不織ウェブと前記導電性層とが互いに電気的接続されるように構成したことを特徴とする電気的スイッチ。 - 請求項8に記載の電気的スイッチであって、
前記導電性層が、第2の導電性不織ウェブを含むことを特徴とする電気的スイッチ。 - 請求項8に記載の電気的スイッチであって、
前記導電性不織ウェブと前記導電性層との間に非導電性層が配置され、
前記非導電性層が開口部を有し、
前記導電性不織ウェブと前記導電性層とを互いに押し付けて接触させたときに、前記開口部を介して前記導電性不織ウェブと前記導電性層とが互いに電気的接続されるように構成したことを特徴とする電気的スイッチ。 - 電気的物品であって、
複数のキーが配された外面と、
前記キーの下側に配置された第1の導電性層と
前記複数のキーのうちの1つのキーを押したときに前記第1の導電性層との間で電気的接続が形成されるようにして、前記第1の導電層に対して離間して配置された第2の導電性層とを含み、
前記第1の導電性層及び前記第2の導電性層を、請求項1ないし請求項7のいずれかに記載の導電性材料から構成したことを特徴とする電気的物品。 - 請求項11に記載の電気的物品であって、
前記第1の導電性層と前記第2の導電性層との間に配置される非導電性層をさらに含み、
前記非導電性層が、前記外面に配された前記各キーの位置とそれぞれ対応付けられた複数の開口部を画定することを特徴とする電気的物品。 - 請求項12に記載の電気的物品であって、
前記第1の導電性層が導電性不織ウェブからなり、
前記第1の導電性層の表面によって前記外面が画定され、かつ
前記複数のキーを前記第1の導電性層の前記表面に印刷したことを特徴とする電気的物品。 - 請求項11に記載の電気的物品であって、
カバー層及び裏当て層をさらに含み、
前記第1の導電性層及び前記第2の導電性層が、前記カバー層と前記裏当て層との間に配置され、
前記カバー層によって、前記複数のキーが配された外面が画定されることを特徴とする電気的物品。 - 請求項1ないし請求項7のいずれかに記載の導電性材料であって、
前記導電性不織ウェブが炭素繊維及び合成繊維を含有し、
前記導電性不織ウェブがコフォームウェブまたは水流交絡ウェブを含むことを特徴とする導電性材料。 - 請求項8に記載の電気的スイッチを備えた衣類。
- 請求項8に記載の電気的スイッチを備えた電光表示装置。
